“John and Dianna are great hosts! They left a sweet happy birthday message for me and also had lots of snacks for the humans - as well as our dogs! The cabin was a perfect location for bike riding at The Highlands. We especially loved ALL the clothing hooks. So convenient. The fireplace was very nice, too, after a day out in the rain. We'll be back!”

“This house was perfect for our family trip. The house was meticulous, clean, well organized, and had everything we needed to make our family vacation a blast. It was on its own private beach on Lake Michigan, beautiful sunset and sunrises lots of wildlife to be seen and only 10 to 15 minutes away from the port to Mackinaw. We felt like we were staying at a friends house as the host was extremely considerate to his guests, having very nice soaps, shampoos, and even left us a festive table...

“It was very good but the bathroom could be a bit bigger that was very tiny. We appreciated the grill and the kayaks. Our grandkids really enjoyed them. It was very peaceful and relaxing.”

“The house, location, and ammenities are beaitiful, comfortable and just as advertised. The beachfront was private and perfect for our 2 year old.”

“The house was a nice place in a quiet area. It was nice to have space where we could enjoy a meal together and relax after being out and busy all day. Really enjoyed lake access and the use of kayaks and the fire pit. (Bring bug spray as the mosquitoes were active when we visited.)”

“Modernized. Clean. Comfortable beds/furniture. Clarify ‘directions’. Name of road not on any street signs. Actually is the highway (add that info!). Drove by x 2 looking for crossroad; property drive RIGHT OFF (two line) highway. Much traffic noise, daytime. Good restaurant across street. Group of cabins on pretty inland lake. One property building is ‘fish cleaning house’, so must be good fishing, here. 🐟”

“Clean, comfortable, cozy. The cabin feels like it’s at the end of the world, but it is easy to get to Petoskey and Mackinac Island. We had our two dogs with us and they loved investigating the yard, which is full of naturalized plantings and mown paths. The space was great for my husband and me, but I think it would be tight with any additional adults. This was a great getaway!”

“Overall we greatly enjoyed our time here. However, there were a few issues. First, the freezer melted our ice cream. Second, we were basically told "good luck" about using the oven, which would have been nice to know before we bought groceries. Third, the heat had already been turned off for the season and it was COLD at night. Thankfully some of the beds had heaters, which was great. The fireplace downstairs is just for looks/ambience. It provided no heat to the room when on. There were only 3...

“The outdoor patio space overlooking the lake was fantastic. The furnishings were so cozy and comfortable. Loved the record player and board games. It felt nice to unplug and spend quality time together. Thanks again. We hope to make our way back soon.”

“While vacationing, we prefer to stay off the grid from the attractions, but like to be close enough to have quick access. We loved this cabin! It was clean and cozy with a beautiful view. We looked forward to arriving back to the cabin nightly following our adventures to cook dinner in the grill, relax lakeside and enjoy the view. If we visit the area again, we’ll definitely book here.”

“From the moment we turned in the drive you could tell this was a great choice. We stayed here for a couple of days while visiting the area for our wedding anniversary. This small cottage in the woods was perfect for two people and the attention to all the details was apparent. It was exceptionally clean, very comfortable and quiet. The attention the owners have given to making this a special place for their guests is obvious. We would highly recommend this to anyone visiting the area.”

“Our first time to Michigan and just absolutely LOVED this trip and property! A beautiful view of the water from the living room! Walkout access to the beach and pet friendly! The small town of Harbor Springs was a joy to visit, so was a drive through the Tunnel of Trees. Highly recommend this property! Gene was a pleasure to work with! Will be visiting again next year!”

“This place was awesome and had everything we needed to have an enjoyable stay: cooking space and utensils, access to the lake, space for the kids, plenty of towels, Internet and tv, a kayak, a dock onto the lake, a porch swing… The fire pit and the sunset lake views made it extra magical. The only downside was the lack of ventilation/cooled air to the second story where most of the beds were. A big thank you to Jimmy for hosting us here and we are looking forward to our next planned stay...

“Cabin was a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the scenery. Walked the Mighty Mac which was an amazing experience. Loved the way the cabin was decorated. The only suggestion we would have is putting some slip resistant Tape in the claw foot tub. Very slippery and there is nothing to hang onto to assist you”

“Loved the cabin. My wife and I and our two grandsons enjoyed our time together in the cabin. We used it while visiting family near by and we are already looking forward to our next stay. Everything we needed was provided by our hosts. The cabin is on a peaceful and quiet lot and offers plenty of things to do like a wood burning fire pit, gas grill and gas fire pit on the front porch. I highly recommend staying if you are looking for that cabin experience.”
