Home was well stocked, especially the kitchen. Liked the open floor plan very much. Secluded property low vehicle usage on the road. Definitely on our radar if we are in the area. Our two yorkies had a good time as well.

Short Get Away
Group of 8 friends just looking for a weekend get away. This was a very cozy place for us to stay. We toured the Ashland area and then stayed nestled into our VRBO and played cards and laughed together. This was a perfect set up for the fun we were looking for.

Great Experience
This house was clean & fully equipped. The deck offered beautiful views of the wetlands, trails & sunset. It is so quiet except for the sound of the birds yet close to Ashland and all of the activities we wanted to do. Would definitely like to stay here again.

Beautiful home as described
We found the property to be as described with plenty of room for multiple people. Anything we needed was available. Yard was spacious and trails were groomed nicely. Bugs on the other hand were plentiful in August so using the trails was challenging for us. Beautiful views of wildlife and sunsets/sunrises. Overall a graat experience and we would recommend this property.

My friend, our three kids, and I stayed at this house while we explored the Apostle Islands area. It was a good launching point for our day trips. The house was very clean and tidy, and it had everything we needed.

Beautiful place!
We stayed at the property a monday-thursday and were all quite pleased with the lodgings. There were seven of us total and all were quite comfortable. We enjoyed walking the property, as did my dog who enjoyed the new smells. We saw a couple does with fawns and at a distance saw and heard a pair of sandhill cranes, also enjoyed listening to the bull frogs call. We had a bonfire one night, but it was short as the mosquitos also wanted to join the party, hardly surprising for the location and time of year. All in all an excellent stay!

Ashland Trip
The house was very well equipped with everything we could possibly need. We were disappointed in having to drive 1 mile on a dirt road. Our recently washed vehicle was very dirty after 2 days of traveling on that dirt road. The mosquitoes were unbelievably awful. The grandkids could not play outside but we’re kept occupied looking at all the animal mounts in the house. All in all a pretty good stay.

Amazing Property and Super Responsive Host!
We booked this property somewhat last minute to visit family in the area for Christmas. We had some very last minute change requests because of a bad winter storm coming into the area. The host was very responsive and accommodating to everything we needed! The property itself was beautiful and very clean. It was just perfect!! They had everything you needed available there. Great place for dogs too - they even had a food and water bowl setup!! Will definitely be back!

Peaceful, private home close to Ashland
The house was just what we were looking for when we decided to meet family in the Ashland/Odanah area. Very quiet, private location that was still very close to town. The property owners were quick to reply and supplied nearly anything you could possibly need. We will definitely keep this place in mind for future visits to the area!

Loved the wildlife!
We enjoyed a great six days here amidst the wildlife ponds and hiking trails. The house was clean and well supplied with towels and kitchen equipment. We especially liked the private location about 7 miles south of Ashland. Wonderful place to bring your dogs for hiking. All the bedrooms are downstairs so we all got some exercise going up and down the stairs. We loved the deck facing west as the sunsets were pretty spectacular. The house was plenty big enough for six of us and two dogs. This place must be gorgeous in autumn. I would highly recommend it. It’s about a 40 minute ride to Bayfield where we caught the ferry to Madeleine Island. Had a delicious lunch at the local inn on the water there and explored the island. The museum is well worth the visit with some really beautiful Native American artwork. We had a great time.

Beautiful, quiet setting. The house was clean and welcoming. Beds were comfortable. I can't imagine you would need anything that wasn't provided. The host was responsive, friendly and easy to work with. It's only about a ten-minute drive to the cute town of Ashland. My only word of caution would be BEWARE OF TICKS. We stayed at the end of July and the trails were absolutely loaded with ticks. One of the reasons we chose this property was so we could walk our dogs on the three-plus miles of beautiful mowed trails. After our first walk (we stayed on the path), we removed more than 20 ticks from our Lab. Ticks aside, there's nothing not to love about this property. Highly recommended for cleanliness and comfort.

Our group of 3 couples enjoyed our time in Ashland. The cabin was one of the most well-stocked of any we have rented, and there we several thoughtful touches and good recommendations. The host was extremely courteous and responsive as well. Would definitely recommend!

Beautiful morning sunrises and evening sunsets
Owners have restored the area to a beautiful open woodland location. This was our first full family vacation, and it was a success because everyone had their separate bedrooms allowing individual time. There are a lot of amazing sites and activities in the area to see. Highly recommend a boat tour of the apostle islands in Bayfield and visiting Copperfalls State Park. Remember you are in the woodland area so protect yourself with plenty of mosquito and tick repellant.

We had a wonderful weekend getaway at this property. The mowed trails were fabulous for the dogs to run every morning on our "nature walk!" We saw an abundance of bald eagles, trumpeter swans, sand hill cranes and the occasional deer. Gorgeous sunsets/sunrises. House is comfortable and clean.

We stayed here for a wedding with our family and dogs, and it was beautiful. Great big kitchen, plenty of room, it felt like home right away. There were a lot of deer and other wildlife to watch right out of the window, and it was very close to the gathering barn wedding venue as well as great access to Copper falls and to bayfield.

We enjoyed our stay at Whitetail Waters. This was our second time staying here. The house is in a secluded location that gives you privacy and lots of nature. The house is well supplied. We liked the ample parking for two vehicles with boats. Sitting out on the deck and watching the sun set was nice. There is plenty of fishing and hiking opportunities. Nearby Ashland is great and has anything you might need. If you are thinking about staying in the area Whitetail Waters is a good choice for accommodations. We will be there again when we visit the area next.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. If you are looking for a house for a relaxing stay that is away from town, this is your place. Ashland is maybe a ten min drive. The house was very clean and the host was very responsive. Highly recommended.

We had 7 total family members staying at the property for a week, ranging from children to teenagers to adults. Yes, there was some bed sharing, but it worked well for us. The open main floor kept us from feeling claustrophobic. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were CLEAN with nice sinks and showers, and the kitchen was very full with dishware, cookware, and utensils to do everything we needed for our stay-in meals. We ate several evening meals on the west-exposed deck while the sun went down, and it was beautiful. For us, it was a great launching pad to multiple state parks (Copper Falls, Amnicon Falls, Pattison), the Apostle Islands, and Ashland. Visit the "Fruit Loop" of orchards outside of Bayfield! There are mown trails throughout the fields and ponds on the property which make for a nice morning or evening stroll. We observed a heron and bald eagle within sight of the house. Very quiet area situated on a gravel road among farms. An easy few miles drive into Ashland for groceries or anything else. Read the story of the property by the owners in their guest book - it is a neat one. Check-in instructions were clear and easy. 4 stars only because I wish it had a little more space, but it was as advertised.

Clean, quiet place to launch your northern Wisconsin vacation
For starters, David was excellent with communication! I think he responded within 5 minutes of my 1st inquiry and did a wonderful job answering "touristy" questions all the way up until our trip. The property is in a quiet area with lots of acres to roam. We saw deer every day and heard the frogs croaking at night. It was very clean and had everything we needed. There were 6 of us and we had plenty of room. It was nice to just sit on the deck and watch the sun set. It's in a great location for activities in Ashland, Bayfield and seeing several waterfalls. We felt welcome at the home and were very appreciative that we could bring our dogs with not too pricey of a fee. The dogs were appreciative too, as they prefer to hang out with us! We would stay here again!

Easy to find, great communication from the host, and EVERYTHING WAS THERE!! Perfect for a family retreat, and the scenery is spectacular. We grilled, cooked full meals, and everything was provided and easy to find. 2 full baths was great, and the dishwasher was an added bonus. Wonderful, quiet cabin!
We had a lovely stay at Whitetail Waters! It was just as advertised, clean and with little things like paper towels, dish soap, hand soap etc included. The best part ended up being the so-so cell service (we didn't buy the wifi), it made our teens get off their phones and spend more time with us! :) Anybody with teens these days knows what a blessing that is. Truly had a wonderful time. Everything was very clean and we appreciated the attached garage to store our skis/poles/boots (we cross country skiied and downhill skied in the area). Also loved bringing our dog, she loved running around outside. Great communication with the property manager, no complaints at all. Thanks for a lovely stay!

This property is located in a great location if you are looking to get away from it all. The property has a network of hiking trails for taking a stroll. Plenty of wild life around. The deck is comfortable and has a great view out over ponds and grasses and woods. The house is comfortable and well equipped. We think it would be ok for 6 people (we were just 4 on this trip) but might be a bit crowded for 8. We will book this place again for next year.

We particularly enjoyed the space on the upper level. We had our 17 month old grandson with us on this trip. When not in the yard, he loved roaming around island. The kitchen was well equipped, I appreciated the Keurig ! The location also allowed my 17 year old granddaughter to practice drive, needs time behind the wheel. It was perfect for day trips in the area. Staying a week, it seemed to be slower around some areas midweek. Thanks again for welcoming us into your home. The Schreuders
