"Everything about Quinta do Bosque is exceptional — from the warm reception when we arrived to the stunning views of the Douro Valley mountains from the pool. The property is set in a peaceful, secluded spot away from the busier tourist areas, making it the perfect place to unwind. Getting there takes a little patience (the roads are narrow and winding), but it’s absolutely worth it once you arrive. The staff are wonderful — friendly, welcoming, and always eager to make your stay special. The rooms and amenities are top-notch, far exceeding our expectations. Breakfasts are delicious and generous, with plenty of variety. We dined at the on-site restaurant both evenings and were blown away by the quality and creativity of the menu — and the wine selection was excellent too. I celebrated my birthday during our stay, and the kitchen surprised me with a beautiful (and very tasty!) cake. We truly didn’t want to leave. If you’re looking for a restful and luxurious escape in the heart of the Douro Valley, I can’t recommend Quinta do Bosque highly enough. We’re already planning our return! 🌸"

"The home was lovely, spacious, comfortable, well-appointed and tastefully decorated. The views were outstanding. It was difficult to find restaurants nearby, and as the crow flies one was less than 2km away, but took nearly 30 minutes to drive. Next time (if I'm fortunate enough to rent this villa again), I would buy meats and vegetables (and wine of course) for a lovely dinner at the villa at least one night. I thought I read that the beds were all king-size, but now I don't see that information on the site(s). There are four air-conditioned bedrooms: four are queen-size and one appears to be a double (full). That was the only item I rated 4 stars, but perhaps it was my assumption (?) Victor, the owner and host, was the best - friendly, informative, and helpful. "
