Small vacation for me and my husband
This place is so cute! It is just a few minutes from downtown Beaufort. We enjoyed eating at Dockside, FishCamp in Port Royal, and the Foolish Frog. Me and my husband enjoyed sitting on the porch in the evenings and rocking in the rocking chairs.

Swell stay
Great space for two on a leisure exploring weekend for relocation potential. The cottage was just right for us; we mostly ate-out to sample the local food community. It was especially nice to be just a few blocks away from the busier downtown, but tucked in to the historic district. We rented bikes for an afternoon to ride through The Point area. Took one afternoon to drive over to Port Royal & great seafood place & local brewery on 11th. Would highly recommend!

Purple Cottage
The Purple Cottage is super neat and tidy! 3 steps to enter, then a one floor space. It has a well appointed kitchen and the bed is quite comfortable. The downtown area for shops and restaurants is about a 10 minute walk. Has a regular coffee maker and Keurig but be sure to bring your own supplies. The Cottage appears to be newly renovated and very clean! Park your car 10 feet from the front door.

Nice little cottage
My wife and I enjoyed our 5 nights at the cottage located in a quiet neighborhood with a short walk into town. It has a well appointed kitchen and all the linens we needed. The bathroom sink took awhile to get hot water from the tankless water heater and we discovered running hot water in either the shower or kitchen sink enhanced the flow in the bathroom sink. We called the host and a plumber was on site the next morning. The problem seemed improved but not resolved. However, we were able to work with this and appreciated the host's quick response. We are not plumbers, maybe this is normal.

The Color Purple
Gerat spot, TV was interesting never used that streaming service, but I was able to airplay from my iPhone my DIRECTV, so it worked out. We were going to bring down steaks to feed our Marine, thank goodness we didn't because we didn't find the grill. Great Hosts, and if you were in the Pink Cottage when we arrived, we're sorry we didn't have much time to chat, we had a schedule to keep. Will rent again, our Marine is stationed there for the next 3 years! Sharon & Jerry

Location is perfect!
We loved our stay at the purple cottage. It was clean and well appointed. A perfect little house for a couple who want to be close to town. We walked for dinner, enjoyed coffee at the coffee shop one block over and had easy access to the Spanish Moss Trail. Kitchen was well appointed and the bed comfortable.

My sister and I stayed for a weekend. The cottage is very cute. It is perfect for 2 people. I love the fact that we didn’t have to do too much cleaning but we also weren’t there much. We chose to explored Beaufort (the reason we went). The cottage is within walking distance to downtown Beaufort. We only had 1 hiccup with the hot water but for us it wasn’t even a issue. I want to stay again but this time with my husband. I highly recommend!

The Purple Cottage
My first stay in this lovely cottage is next door to it’s ‘sister’ cottage where I have also stayed. Each was recently renovated has a quaint charm. Best of all both are within a short walk of Bay Street and all downtown Beaufort offers. The area was updated since my last visit and now the Sheriff’s Dept is steps away providing a true sense of security. Communication with the Owner is extremely easy both before and during the visit. Highly recommend both cottages!

Charming cottage
We enjoyed the charm of this cottage. It was easy walking distance to the restaurants along the bay. The bay itself is only a block away and visible from the front porch. The host was very communicative and helpful. There is a nice bakery/coffee shop just across the street.

Nice little cottage!
This cottage is perfect for two people. Good location, great view of Beaufort river, and comfortable bed. Only downsides: there was no hot water in bathroom lavatory, a couple of light bulbs were out, and only one wine glass provided. Tried to inform hostess, but got no reply.

Perfect place for one or two people! Very clean and very cute. Walkable to historic district and downtown waterfront. My fourth visit to Beaufort to kayak and fish. Previously, I’d stayed in chain hotels—-this little house beats them, hands down! Will rent this house again.

Little Purple House in the South.
This house is a great place to stay. It is very clean and welcoming , is in a great location to walk to the water, historic district , shops and the Pat Conroy Library is just across the street. We loved staying at the Little Purple House in the South.

Very cute cottage. We enjoyed our stay. Very clean and great location. The cottage is directly behind the Pat Conroy museum. Communication with the owner was excellent. We got an almost immediate response. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.

My down time
Overall it was good. Several light bulbs were missing. Earrings left behind on night stand with dust on it goes to how well it was cleaned. Pull chain for fan laying on night stand. Light kit messed up so the other chain was hard to pull. Front door with the security lock has to be held in the right place for the door to lock, so the door needs adjusting. Last is the TV situation which is ridiculous. We stayed in one of the other cottages with the same TV situation and I got it to work easily as directions stated. For this cottage however the directions doesn't line up as the button it calls for is not listed on either controls.

Everything was as advertised and neat and clean. Location was perfect for a short walk to town. Might want to pay a little attention to maintenance on blinds and shower handle. Otherwise, we would likely rent again and as mentioned, location was really nice.

The home was just as described IMO. We arrived via boat (Beaufort Marina) so the walk to/from the home was a tad farther than we anticipated, but it got our "steps" in for the days while we were there, that's for sure. Just bringing the luggage to/from the boat was a tad much, but all in all, it was one of only properties available, so it was our own demise for not booking sooner. If coming by car, it wouldn't be so bad. We rented both this home and the one next door (the Orange one) for another couple.. but the orange one was a tad musty and outdated.. more so than the purple one anyway. Either way, the price reflected the quality of the home, as it was fairly reasonable all things considered.

Clean and great location
This is a very pleasant cottage perfect for two people. We enjoyed the front porch a lot and we utilized the park pass daily. We will definitely stay again. The location is great - can walk to the waterfront and the Pat Conroy Literary Center is right by the cottage now. The only thing I would recommend is to improve the light bulbs or size of the lamps in the bedroom, so as to make it easier to read. We didn’t mind at all that the TV channels are limited, but would like the lighting more reader friendly.

Very clean and comfortable. Right in historical district of Beaufort. We had a number of walks both along the water (1 block away), to the center of town (about 4 blocks away), and viewing all the great historical homes. A 20 minute drive to Hunting Island State Park with great beach walks and a lighthouse. Eat at Fishcamp on 11 in Port Royal (about a 10 minute ride).

The cottage was very cute. The area was very quiet. It was in a great location just a block off the marina and Bay street ,where all the restaurants and shops are , is within a short scenic walk. It was great to have a Hunting Island park pass free of charge. The bed and roll out sofa could be a bit more comfy but it was okay. It could use a deeper cleaning , under the couch and tops of pics and other items, wipe down walls. All in all we loved it .

Perfect little purple cottage!
I have had a most enjoyable stay here! The location is perfect! Easy & scenic walk to the Waterfront Park & downtown Beauforf. The rental is well stocked & pristinely maintained. It is comfortable & cozy. I brought a few of my own personal items that made it seem as though I lived here. Nadine is a Superhost for sure! Very easy to contact & she was quick to respond, more than accommodating! A truly lovely lady. I hope to return to beautiful Beaufort by the Bay soon & stay right here in the little purple cottage. Perfect getaway!

Stay at the purple cottage
We needed a place to stay for 2 days b4 getting into our beach house on Harbor Island. This was the perfect place. Walking distance to historic downtown Beaufort. And a special treat it was the annual Shrimp Festival. Fun fun fun. And the pass to Hunting Island another surprise. Thank you for such a wonderful place to hold up for a few days!
