Homewood Suites by Hilton Birmingham Downtown Near UAB
10/10 Excellent
"The room was large and comfortable and very clean. The staff members were very friendly and helpful. The location is in a bar district and did not seem particularly safe at night. The hotel requires a room key to open outside doors and access the elevator so inside felt very secure. "

"Room was clean and decorated beautifully. The city view is breathtaking. The staff all been nice, helpful, smiling and overall seem to enjoy their jobs and be happy to be doing them! Will for sure stay here again. "
"My welcome was fantastic! Great communication ahead of my stay and on the day of my arrival, excellent directions and advise on parking. I parked on the street within 200 feet from the entrance, easy walk.
My room was on the 3rd floor - i liked going up the stairs, liked the eclectic decor of the lobby, colors of the stairs, the bannisters. The hotel is spotless, my room was sparkling clean, bedding, pillows - so luxuriously comfortable - very good quality linens. The coffee/tea/refrigerator are community-style - served on each floor kitchen station with nice selection of teas and coffee. Hotel is very quiet, feels private and secure. Within walking distance from multiple amazing restaurants and bars. Will definitely stay again!!!
my only tiny comment is that it was a bit on cold side of comfortable (i do like my room warm, but it's just a personal preference).
Again - i was looking for a differen sort of hotel - not a chain and The Painted Lady DEFINITELY fit the brief!
Would recommend!"
"We absolutely loved our stay! The valet was awesome and front staff was so helpful! The room was clean and beds were so soft!! We really enjoyed the area too! A few restaurants were close by and we took the jam tram to a concert at the Coca Cola amphitheater, so convenient!!!"
