"We were not able to check in until 3 AM in the morning due to inclement weather. Someone was there waiting for us. That was pretty awesome! The property is well maintained. The bed was very comfortable It’s a great location and hotel. Everybody was very nice and courteous and the breakfast in the morning is pretty amazing! I would definitely stay here again! "
"This was a very cute house in farm country! The pictures don’t do this place justice, it has so much charm and character as you walk through. We had a few friends meet here and we all had boats, so the large lot was accommodating. The house was clean and the communication was excellent. We would definitely stay here again. The sunsets were beautiful! "
"1960s motel. Clean and quiet. Reasonable price. The owner, Ron, is so friendly and welcoming. Will definitely stay there again whenever we are in McCook. "
"The Frank was “squeaky” clean. We were in McCook for a family wedding. The VRBO was located close to the family, church and the fairground where the reception took place. "
"DO NOT BOOK A ROOM HERE. I’ve stayed here yearly since 2022, but this time, we were told our room was in “the other building”. This “other building” was in a different parking lot and had several boarded up windows/door. Parking lot full of garbage and dog feces. First floor smelled like feces. Filthy carpet. Had to shoulder the room door open (got worse throughout stay). Man from the front desk said he had to bring us towels and fix the TV (it never worked). Bathroom light was burned out; took another bulb from the room to use in there. Had to repeatedly open the toilet tank to stop it from running. Shower temp randomly changed from cold to scalding. Stains and mold on bathroom ceiling. No extra toilet paper. Toiletries were one bar of soap and a half-empty bottle of shampoo; room coffee was years old. Linens were old—nothing like the the listing (or what I’d seen in prior stays in the main building). Multiple large dogs kept in other rooms and ran loose in the parking lot. Cars in the parking lot never changed—most were full of belongings (looked lived-in). No issue with that, but it explains why this felt like transitional housing. We were obviously the only “hotel guests”. Trash sat in hall for days. On our last night, there was feces on the stairs. If main building was undergoing renovation, we should have been told that at check-in or ahead of time (reservation was booked 3 mos prior). I stay in budget hotels around the country, and this is the WORST I’ve ever seen."
"No sign on the building, weeds growing in the parking lot. Lobby very dirty. Desk help was a fill-in and, while trying to be helpful, didn't have a full grasp of the duties. Two buildings, our reservation was for a room on the second level of the other building. That second level was inaccessible due to locked doors. The first floor was wide open with ceiling tiles on the floor, a leak in the ceiling, and soggy carpet. We were reassigned to the main building but the staff had forgotten the password on the machine to activate keycards. Main building's interior common area had the pool, while full of water had city notification signs saying it was closed due to violations until further notice. The entire area had a funky smell. Got keys to the new room. Not very clean, looked as if it was undergoing a remodel. Folding closet door was off the mounts and leaning against the wall. Bath and shower was missing some hardware, but worked. TV was on a dresser, but we had to move it to a sofa for the plug and cable to reach. We were not certain the smoke detectors were functional. A piece of iron stuck out from the bed frame. The chair and sofa looked as if they'd been salvaged from a dumpster. BUT, in the end, this room was quiet and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was very meager the first morning and nonexistent the second morning. After our check in on Friday we never saw anyone working the desk. We never got a receipt when we left. The staff we did meet were courteous and caring, bu"
