"Great stopover before early morning Eurotunnel. Gilles was a perfect host with excellent communication, wonderful breakfast with lovely apple juice made from the apples grown in the wonderful gardens. Comfy bed, nice shower with a kettle on the room, all you need for an overnight stop. The house and gardens were stunning."

"Stopped the night on way to Calais ferry. Unfortunately that night only one bar in walking distance was serving food and they were full. So we had drive to find an eatery. Wont be stopping in Ardres again."

"I physically cannot express my displeasure with this place. Staff are useless don't help in the slightest. The list of things included is a total lie. The kitchen appliances don't work properly, the TV broke and they don't even try to rectify this and they don't provide the basics such as towels for showering and toilet paper. At the end of our stay we were told to clean the house basically from top to bottom which means they don't then clean after us, bearing in mind the house was dusy and dirty when we came. The place claims to be pet friendly but your dog is not aloud on the sofa, bed or even the upstairs and cannot enjoy a garden because the chickens roam around freely antagonising your pet. This place was a complete disappointment and we will not be returning. Had to give 1 star because 0 is not an option! The host messaged us to say the TV was working yet we have photos to prove it wasn't!"
"Excellent cottage located on a farm yet only 30 minutes away from the Port of Calais, so an easy drive when arriving in France. Patrick & Anne-Mari are a very friendly couple, helpful and have maintained the property in first class condition. Other than bedding which is charged extra at 6 everything else is provided and of god quality. Mid way through our weeks holiday Patrick knocked on lour door with a punnet full of home grown strawberries grown on the farm and later in the week we were given a guided tour of the farm including the dairy and milking of cows, the free range chicken huts. Lots of lovely places nearby including the coast and Rdelinghem is a lovely small quiet village. The farm is very quiet, noise is kept to a. minimum making this an idyllic location for both a family and for a couple. Highly recommended."
