Beautiful house with screened in deck

Beautiful 2 bedroom fully renovated home with large screened in porch in a secure neighborhood. Just 5 minutes from Damascus and the Virginia Creeper Trail, 5 minutes from Johnston Memorial Hospital and 10 minutes from downtown Abingdon. There you can take in a show at the Barter Theater or just enjoy the history of the town. The Bristol Motor Speedway is only 35 minutes from Abingdon.
You can ride the Virginia Creeper Trail or go shopping then enjoy a quiet evening relaxing on the screened porch and take in the view. The yard is well maintained where children can run and play. There is plenty of room for for outdoor activities for children and adults.

The best!!
This was the best Vrbo we have ever stayed in! It’s so clean and an absolutely beautiful location. The communication with Judy and Joe was great! They made sure our stay was perfect. We would love to stay there again next time we’re in that area.

We came to Abingdon for the Dam Yeti 50 and picked the perfect place to stay. It was clean, comfortable and located close to the finish line! We enjoyed sitting on the screened-in porch and race planning, and the day after we enjoyed the recliners to put our feet up!

AMAZING Stay
My husband and I stayed to attend the Appalachian Trail Days. The cottage was absolutely amazing. It was so clean, so well equipped! The cottage was in the country, really quiet. It has an amazing screened in back deck that over looked fields of hay and a cow pasture. I was so glad that we got to meet Judy and Joe. Wonderful couple! We loved staying there and hope to be able to go back again.

We really enjoyed this property. It was just as pictured and described—clean and uncluttered, well-equipped kitchen, great living spaces, comfortable beds. The house is located in a beautiful setting just a few minutes drive from Abingdon, where we enjoyed the Farmers Market and a performance at the Barter Theatre. We look forward to staying again!

Joe and Judys Cottage was wonderful ! everything was just as pictured in their VRBO listing. their place was extremely clean and the setting was just lovely and peaceful. Even though it was rather cold and rainy we went out on the back porch to enjoy that serene view. Joe even dropped by extra water for us and told us if we needed anything just to let them know, but we did not need to contact them because everything we needed was already there !We had a wonderful time and hope to go back soon. Thank you Judy and Joe for sharing your cottage with us , we appreciated everything😊

Comfy Cottage
Cozy 2 bdrm with nice deck and plenty of space for kids to run around. Chose because of closeness to family, but would recommend for anyone looking to visit the Abingdon, Bristol, Damascus area.

4-night stay in Abingdon countryside
I like the fact that the property is out in the country but only a short distance from the town of Abingdon and the interstate. We used it to take day trips and hikes, including to Mount Rogers area and on the Virginia Creeper Trail. We also saw a play at the Barter Theater. Real close to that. Good place, only downside is that it was too cold to sit out on the porch - we were a little late for that.

Amazing place to stay. Quiet and nice and clean. Check your entry code before arriving - we had no internet service upon arriving and had to drive out a ways to get the door code. Free internet once you’re inside.

Very relaxing country setting but close to all amenities, attentive owners, clean and well stocked home for our stay. Undoubtedly the cleanest place we’ve ever stayed. Had the most serene and peaceful views from the screened in porch. Easy to locate and close to town. Us old folks appreciated the recliners. Anything you could possibly need in the kitchen was supplied. Everything worked as it should. Just a great and safe place to stay if you’re looking for a temporary abode in this area.

Wonderful Weekend Getaway
The propery is picture perfect of Virginia's rolling hills! The house was clean, well maintained and the back covered screen porch made you not want to leave! Perfect for sipping morning coffee! Weekend visit to Abingdon was wonderful and the small historical town was as perfect as the house! Stay here you will not be disappointed!

Family Gathering
House was just what we needed for our family gathering. Great communication and enjoyable conversation with the owners. As others have said, there was bottled water and snacks upon arrival which was appreciated. While at the house we spent almost all of our time on the screened porch. That was the drawing point for us and the weather was very accommodating for July! Very relaxing and for the most part a quiet neighborhood. A minor issue for us had to do with neighbors mowing their rather large yards, seemed it was almost a daily occurrence which disrupted the peaceful setting. It was not enough disruption to give less than 5 stars, but just be aware if you are expecting total peace and quiet. Outside of that, it was a wonderful time away!

This place is great. The neighborhood is amazing. It has the most peaceful setting in the backyard, with a screened in porch. Very relaxing. Would 100% stay here again. We didn’t want to leave. Very thoughtful hosts!
