Beach Get away
We had the best time in Brookings. We loved the house. Perfect location, and the views of the ocean are spectacular. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the living room was a great place to relax. We really enjoyed sitting at the firepit in the evening. It is one of the best dog friendly rentals ever! The owner was super helpful and responsive. He gave us great recommendations for dining out and even directed us to several fishing spots. We look forward to coming back!

Awesome end to Spring Break and Easter
Stayed here at the end of Spring Break 2024; great weather, great view from the living room, very friendly owner with helpful and very thoughtful communication through out the entire stay! Even had a little fun with the Easter bunny hiding some eggs around the property for the kids to wake up to [they had no clue He followed us to the beach :-) ]. Also, was able to bring our new pup for her first beach visit ever! Great trip, great little place to stay with a great view!

Just the spot
It really does look like this from the main living room window, although we had fabulous stormy seas in late December. Perfect size for two adults but the three beds could sleep five. I wish it was closer so I could visit more often.

Wonderful house.
I chose this house because of the yard but my dog ended up staying home with my daughter’s new dog, so the yard was wasted on me but The house was comfy and cozy and right on the water. Very clean and the host was excellent with recommendations of things to do.

Wow, what a view!
This property is the perfect comfortable, cozy and clean ocean front rental. The view is amazing and it's the perfect location to serve as a base to explore the area. It was our second time staying in this home and we will be back again.

Beautiful home on a bluff
Clean, light, and airy with amazing ocean views right from the backyard! We used the fire pit every night and enjoyed the incredible sunsets. The home was clean and well stocked. Excellent communication from the property manager.

Great View
My husband and I have stayed here 3 times. We love it for several reasons. First it’s dog friendly which is very important. It has a fenced yard and very safe. The view is amazing of the ocean and the fire pit for roasting marshmallows is great. The house is well stocked. It has room for 4 people and more if kids with bunk beds in one bedroom. The one thing that needs improvement is the beds. The mattress is very uncomfortable and I think is on its last leg. Overall we would stay again as you can’t beat location. John the host is very attentive to any needs you may have. We will be back.

Thank you guys for coming back again and again, we fix the problem with the mattress. The center post in the middle of the bed was tipped over. It’s been tested by a few people and it’s fine now.

Awesome Dog Friendly Hideaway
Amazing place for a coastal getaway. John, the host, was attentive and friendly. House was super clean and fully stocked. There aren't many options when traveling with a dog, but this place fits the bill with a fenced in yard and dog friendly recommendations for outings. Beds were a bit soft, but otherwise we had a very enjoyable stay and a lovely time.

The property was great with a beautiful view. The inside was bright and well lit. The neighborhood and property arrangement provided privacy snd comfort. Even know there is not direct beach access, its super close and convenient just to pop right down to the harbor. We all loved it and can't wait to return. The host was great and made absolutely sure we had everything we needed. Thank you for a great place to stay.

Great Location, Great Host!
Here are some quick notes. 😊 It’s a cozy cottage overlooking the gorgeous coast and the sunset views are amazing. It’s clean and close to shops and restaurants. My dogs were happy and loved the yard. We had lots of rain during our stay but that didn’t keep us from enjoying our time. John is very helpful and very welcoming with lots of suggestions for when you’re out and about. Yes, we would book again.

Cozy, dog-friendly home with beautiful ocean view.
Let’s start with John. He was attentive, friendly and reliable from the start. We met up with him at the house before our actual check-in time. He showed us the property and where to find anything we may need. He also had a neat little binder with a lot of information about where to eat, suggested attraction, and suggestions of where we could take our 2 Newfoundland’s for fun other than to the beach. He was easy to get a hold of when we had a question or two. The house is exactly as stated on VRBO and didn’t disappoint. There was plenty of firewood to burn in the fire pit and comfortable chairs to sit in while watching the sunset around the fire. We did spot some wildlife from the backyard with John’s spotting scope and the binoculars we had brought with us. We saw quite a few sea lions on a buoy that’s a ways out. On pelican rock you can obviously see pelicans but after high tide we saw (through the binoculars) starfish on the rocks. It was also nice watching some of the fishermen catching their catch in the mornings. Overall a great stay, not far from dining and attractions with an attentive host.

Awesome place. Found it last minute while we were on a long road trip.
Owner was full of helpful information on local favorites and great dive bars. Location of the property is located perfectly to restaurants and everything you need. No need to ever hit the Highway for any reason. Had a wonderful time and even better dining experience.

The check-in process was easy, the house was clean and super cute. There was some dog hair in the carpets but to be expected with a pet friendly place. Overall, the cleanliness was great. The house had everything we needed, and the host was very helpful and accommodating. The view of the ocean is amazing and we loved relaxing by the fire and taking in the beautiful ocean views. Highly recommend and we will be back!

My wife wanted a birthday getaway along the coast. We had a wonderful time staying at this property and would highly recommend it. Brooking is a beautiful town, the house is in a great location, the property owners were very welcoming and helpful. Could not have been happier with our experience.

We celebrated our son's birthday at the coast. The house was clean and had everything we needed. John met us when we got there and went over everything. The dogs thoroughly enjoyed the fenced yard. Holiday escape by the sea
Enjoyed our stay at John’s house over holidays! Appreciated the nice touches, including the festive tree and holiday treat left to welcome us. House had everything we needed, including a killer view of the ocean with Saint George lighthouse peeking out between storms. We chose the stormiest week in a place that ordinarily isn’t - but had enough breaks in weather to get out for beach combing, hiking in the redwoods, and grabbing excellent seafood for dinner. Appreciated the cleanliness, comfort, and location of this home very much, and John is super-responsive and helpful. Hope to be back next year!

What we needed
Great place for the two of us, and our small dogs. A fenced backyard at the edge of a cliff overlooks the ocean, near the harbor. Clean space. Host really wants you to enjoy the house and the community.

We really enjoyed our stay. The ocean views and fire pit made the stay enjoyable. Kitchen was well stocked, very clean nice beach cottage. Perfect for dogs with the fenced backyard. Only complaint we had was the beds are not very comfortable. Would stay again.
