“The house is located in a nice neighborhood, just two blocks from the water and walkable to downtown. Check in was easy. The apartment is filled with light and very clean. If you happen to be up at dawn the living room windows face east providing a wonderful sunrise view. Would definitely stay there again!”

“Plenty of towels and paper goods. Lots of everything in the kitchen, pots, pans, glasses, cups. Nice furnishings and room for many people with the loft area. View is better than the picture on the website. Easy self check-in and also has nice appliances, including the washer/dryer. Would definitely stay again!”

Sharon and Denny have decorated as their own and it was such a cute place to be. We appreciated the book of things to do and places to dine and took advantage of those, enjoying Carriage House, Ocean Point and Robinson’s Wharf. “My husband and I enjoyed our week renting the second floor of The Captain’s House. The rental is spotless, the furniture is comfortable, and the kitchen is well stocked. There’s a wealth of books and brochures on things to do in the area. Hanging out on the second floor porch was heavenly. We had everything we needed for a pleasant stay.”

“We very much enjoyed our stay at this location. The stairs were a bit scary, but with the light on, you'll be fine. :) Cozy spot for the three of us, well appointed and in a fantastic area. Very walkable, even down to the wharf. We are from a very non-walkable area, so it was amazing to see all the activity and places we could go just walking a bit. We enjoyed our first time in Maine, and can't wait to get back for a longer trip. Thanks to the hosts!”

“Great views. House pretty clean & supplies were fine except only 3 coffee cups for 6 adults. VACasa said they would get more cups. They failed, never received. Some lights didn't work & lots of dead bugs in light fixtures.”

“This was a great spot for a weekend away! The unit is well equipped with higher end finishes and furnishings which makes the u it well worth visiting. The roof deck was a lovely addition as well! We left on Sunday so was happy to be able to move the car close to the unit Saturday evening to make packing a breeze.”
