"This was a perfect spot. Two of our 3 children leave the nest this summer/fall, one to basic training and one to college, so we wanted a quiet spot w/ lots of opportunities for family fun and time together. This was perfect. We spent every waking moment out on the canal or in the yard. The SUPs & kayak were used daily. Our youngest was on the water every chance he got. We cooked every meal in the very well stocked kitchen. I made shrimp & grits, ceviche, fish tacos, steak & oysters, biscuits & gravy, every meal. We stopped at Seaside Market & bought fresh seafood. Amazing. The grill was great! A herd of 5 horses, inluding a very young filly, visited the yard twice. My daughter had to get out of the hammock & to the deck to maintain the madatory 50ft distance. They hung out for awhile then got into the canal for a while. We had an oprey hang out straight out early every morning, nutria swimming in the canal, a beautiful huge heron on the dock at the end of the canal. Very little boat traffic because of the perfect location of the property. The water around the dock was about waist deep for us. The house and property were beautiful and clean. We went to the beach several times. It was nice loading the truck & being able to drive straight to the water. No lugging big bags/ carts down to setup. Just pop the hatch and throw a tent up. Our dog loved everything about this vacation, too. Next time I'll bring more bottled/jugs of water. "

"What a cozy, rustic and charming place for a romantic getaway in one of the most untouched pristine beaches on the east coast. The hosts were very attentive to prepare you for your trip. You had the canal and kayaks ready for touring. I loved the decour and there were plenty of snacks in your care package. When you are going make sure you rent a real 4X4. This is all natural beach access. Your city suv will get stuck. There are plenty of jeep rental places available. Enjoy the adventure!"

"I stayed here because of its proximity to the ferry, it’s perfect if you’re wanting to explore nuts Island in the surrounding areas. Not only was this listing exactly as the photo showed, but it was even better than I had imagined. The entire home and its surrounding area is charming. I will definitely stay again."

"This VRBO rental in Carova Beach was exactly as described. Check-in was simple, the house was clean along with sheets, towels and blankets. If you know Carova Beach, you should be aware that the water will smell like sulfur. Be sure to bring your own drinking water and any other items you need because there are no shops after leaving Corolla. The power in the kitchen remains faulty, the only outlets functioning in the kitchen are closest to the refrigerator and stove, which was no problem for our stay. No high chair available. Classic coffee pot available! Please list that there is a Gas grill available! The kitchen sink would benefit with a silicone strainer; The current metal one stops the flow of water down the drain unless you lift it. Thank you, we enjoyed your home and our weekend vacation! "
