“Staff brilliant, location good, breakfast hit and miss. This is not a hotel but a restaurant with rooms. No room safe, no reception desk However it is in a good position for the Wallace tower and museum (walkable) also very near the university. Breakfast is brought to you in a basket the night before and left outside your room. Unfortunately our second night no breakfast arrived for following morning there is no one onsite until later in the morning . I did find the cleaner and she was able to……

“We loved the Riverside room. Beautiful view of the river. The room was very clean and comfortable. “We had a lovely one night stay at this hotel in Balmaha. Can highly recommend staying here and the food in the restaurant in the evening was also really good. Cafe next door had great coffee and icecream and a good bacon buttie in the morning for breakfast. Can highly recommend everything here . Remember to take a walk round the edge of the loch as well and climb the small hill for lovely views ! ”
