I was welcomed warmly and provided a room First impression of room was it is very dated and there was a lingering odor there was not any curtains only blinds so the light from outside was distracting I ended up rigging up a dark blanket to block the light The Inn is very convenient to food and drinks and for the most part not a bad stay the room was clean the bed’s comfortable and linens in great shape the staff was friendly and accommodating for extra linens

This is not really in Camden ptoper. It is on the border with Rockport. It really an old motel.

Dear John,Thank you for staying with us. Our inn is located just 3/4 of a mile from the village center and the busy waterfront. Many guests prefer to avoid the hassle of parking in the village, leaving their cars at the inn and strolling down to the waterfront.

Not Doing That Again
The door to the adjoining room didn’t have a lock - so the folks next door could literally just enter my room had they wanted to. The blinds made it so the parking lot light came in - so when it was time to sleep it was super bright in the room. They claim to be a “pet friendly” hotel but when you go to book your room, you have to call and have it changed or they threaten you with a $250 fee, then say pets aren’t allowed in the bed? I had my service dog with me, and part of her job is to wake me up from nightmares - so that literally couldn’t happen. Then they charged me $50 for UNKNOWN reasons and when I tried to call for an explanation, no one answered. The only thing I really liked was the wooden swing outside. Otherwise this place was not worth the money.

Dear Stephanie,I'm sorry that you weren't satisfied with your visit. In fairness, though, I need to clarify a few points you've raised. We are a dog-friendly hotel, however we have only 8 rooms that are pet-friendly. You booked through Hotels.com and they do not have access to our pet rooms, nor do they notify us of your pet room request. That is why all guests receive a confirmation email which states that you are not in a pet room; if you require one, the notice says, please call us to make that pet room assignment. There is nothing demanding or threatening in that notice. Guests who bring a pet into a non-pet room without permission are charged a fee, as we then have to deep-clean the room. Many guests have allergies, and we do our best to provide an allergen-free experience.If you truly have a service dog, then you know that you are exempt from pet room requirements, including requests to not allow pets on the furniture. We do provide dog beds, food and water bowls, and a welcoming dog treat.You were not charged a 50 fee. As we explained when you checked in, we did authorize a 50 incidentals fee...that authorization automatically drops off your credit card when you check out.I don't doubt that you tried to call our office, and possibly at a time when we were helping other guests. However, you did not leave a message so that we might have returned your call.As for the pass-through rooms, each side has a one-sided door knob, that is always locked. You can open the door from your room, but you couldn't get in the room next to you unless that guest opens that door for you.I'm sorry that the ambient light bothered you. However, the outside porch light next to your door can be turned on or off with the light switch under the light. There are no parking lot lights.We take our guests comfort very seriously. I wish that during your two-night stay with us, you would have brought these matters to our attention so that we could have addressed your concerns.

Don’t hesitate to stay!
First time staying here, but not last. A pleasant surprise considering the price was well below every place I checked in the vicinity. I’ve stayed in many nearby options and in the future I’ll check Cedar Crest first.

Nice place. Friendly check in. My only complaint was that our room had a musty smell to it. Not sure if it was the cleaning products used on top of a musty smell or what. It was not a pleasant odor.

This is an older property renovated last year, per our host. It is clean and comfortable. We were able to walk downhill into Camden, approximately .8 mile. Camden is a lovely Maine coastal village and we loved our visit. After our walk we went back to our room and sat at a table outside our room to talk and enjoy the night air.

Great little motel
Very nice place. It is a motel, but a very clean and good value. Surprisingly good TV channel selection. We would stay here again.
