Mahalo nui to the Kent's for their warm hospitality and for sharing their very special geodesic cottage with us.
We are a kamaaina (from Hawaii) couple who chose this lovely location to celebrate a birthday staycation in a venue known for its dryer climate.
Overall we loved the seclusion of the location, the elevation for it's cool breezes, the extraordinary beauty of living nestled among a fruit bearing orchard (oranges, mango, pomegranate, papaya, mac nuts etc) and the dine out deck perfect for a romantic dinner for two or breakfast gazing out to the clear blue skies and vast Pacific blue ocean.
The Kent's attention to detail in providing for their guests every need did not go unnoticed. As avid cook's we appreciated the well appointed kitchen where every gadget, utensil, stove top toaster, coffee drip, blender, high end knife set and essential spices were all within easy reach for this petite wahine (woman).
Everything we needed in our home-away-from-home was thoughtfully provided including beach towels, extra pillows, blankets as well as a detailed guide containing recommendations of sights to see during our stay.
The quiet vibe in the cottage and the unique orchard setting combined with the stunning tropical views was medicine to soothe my soul and provided a much needed respite.
We are seasoned travelers having traipsed through the hustle and bustle of Bangkok, NYC and the serenity of the vineyards of Petaluma. The geodesic cottage ranks in the top three of places we would love to return to visit.
Mahalo to the Kent's for creating this oasis and permitting us to enjoy all of its offerings. Hey Dennis we loved meeting Mele and exploring the orchard. Maybe a French Press would be a good add to the kitchen arsenal.
To fellow sojourners scrolling through the many VRBO listings for the perfect Hawaii experience we heart this Miloli'I gem.
