"We spent three lovely days at the villa up in the mountains. It was full of rustic charm and very peaceful (the only sounds in the evening were goats and birds!) The building has lots of history and has a pool and an en site convenience store which is really useful. The breakfast was incredible! It was served on the balcony of our room. I’d highly recommend that you have it when you stay! The owner is also very helpful and communicative. I had several questions throughout the stay and always received timely and informative responses. "

"We all had a fantastic time here it was a beautiful villa, you will not be disappointed, the pictures don’t do it justice and the view wow. Great decor, spacious, clean, great air conditioning and everything you could need and more. It worked fantastically for all of us and the pool was amazing. Fantastic location wonderful area with safe beach, plenty of great places to eat and enough shops to browse. We would definitely recommend, easy check in and receptive hosts. "

Beautiful apartments set into the hillside overlooking Souda Bay. Incredibly modern, new and super clean. Very spacious rooms, equipped with all the essentials and also outstanding views.
Staff are absolutely wonderful. Nothing was an issue for them. The receptionist was incredibly accommodating with my requests and really lovely to deal with.
Wonderful small pool area which again, has an incredible view of Souda bay and the mountains. Well equipped with substantial sun loungers and an outside shower. Beautiful flowers and palms planted around the area. Really lovely landscaping and well kept. Would be great if there was a toilet accessible for the pool area 24/7.
I couldn't recommend these beautiful apartments more.
I would just mention that it is probably best to have a car, as it is near a very busy road which is pretty unsafe to walk down to the beach / restaurants.
Otherwise taxis to airport are 10-15mins but $28-35."

When you first arrive your breath is taken away at the expansive views of Soudas Bay, gorgeous flowers, olive trees, fruit trees, vegetables gardens and the amazing pool are a WOW. The villa is so beautiful, with everything you could desire, no details were forgotten. Everything was perfect. The beds are amazing, so comfortable, 1st class. Dimitris the manager is so kind, so thoughtful, was there making sure we were supported in every way. We are so incredibly grateful to you. Our hearts smile when we think of you. Manolis and Aliki the owners are so kind, so caring you will feel so loved up by them The love they have put in to their villa, is breathtaking. "The property was absolutely amazing. There was a total of 14 of us and the space accommodated us well. There was plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, no issues there. The kitchen was large enough for several of us to be using at the same time and was fully stocked with all the equipment needed. The outdoor pool area was breathtaking, the pictures online are REAL! The property was close to several markets and restaurants. The property was private and peaceful a true gem."

"The hotel is perfect for a beachy, chilled holiday if that’s what you enjoy. The small town has some shops etc which is good and Chania is only a 30 minute drive away along with Souda which are beautiful towns.

The hotel could be somewhat more clear on what is included etc. The hotel is amazing so don’t let that put you off but we were told the tourist charge was €10 euro per room, per night, which is correct but we were also charged extra and we’re unsure really what that was for.
Also we have been twice to this hotel, the first time when booking we had the option available to go all inclusive plus but the second time that option wasn’t available until we arrived at the hotel and it was quite steep compared to the first time we visited the hotel and with not much difference to the basic all inclusive package. After all a gin and tonic is a gin and tonic be that from the local gin or branded big name gin.
Overall though, lovely place to stay and the staff are amazing! So helpful and super polite! Will absolutely be back again! "

Very unusual for holiday hotels is the quality of the bedrooms and especially the bed.

"Villa Minoa is a must stay location. Marathi beach is beautiful and there are several restaurants within walking distance. Alex greeted us and walked us through the entire home and even had some items pre stocked in the fridge for us. I spilled a few drops of water on the floor and there was not one ounce of dirt on the paper towel. This home is spotless. I cannot rave about this property enough. From the booking to the chef we hired, and Alex as our guide to the homeowner conversations, it is one of my most favorite places I have visited. Thank you for such a wonderful holiday, we will see you again. "
