The good things about this hotel are the front desk staff was always helpful, attentive, and polite. There is a street car stop right outside the hotel on canal which is nice because this hotel is a little far from the French quarter and such. The room was clean at check in which isn’t always the case for hotels. Now the bad. I’m not sure I would stay here again given the many options in New Orleans. We are morning people. The coffee shop was rarely actually open at 7 as advertised. Walked down to a closed sign on the door several days. Housekeeping also only comes after three nights. When we are walking around in summer and sweating in the humidity I would like for my sheets to be changed more. When housekeeping did come on the fourth day they didn’t even change the sheets. They only took out the garbage. But not the garbage I had bagged up next to the can as it had been four days. Went to the pool on one of our days and the towel stand was empty even though the pool was empty. Luckily we had brought our own towels incase. Otherwise we would have had to drip dry on the way back to the room. Our AC thermostat also stopped working on the last night. I would have requested a room change, but on the last night it wasn’t worth packing our things. Also the door scan in was needed replacement and seemed sketchy.

We loved our stay at The eleanor! The unit was so clean, very spacious, and comfortable. I loved the charcuterie board they had for us in the refrigerator. Such a nice touch! The location is perfect, about a 10 minute walk from anywhere we wanted to go. I would definitely stay there again!
