“My wife and I had a delightful time at the historic Waldo Emerson Inn. The back half was built in 1753 and the front half in the 1780, yet this historic home had all the conveniences of the modern world: snug windows, heated bathroom floor, and easy to control heatng. The B&B was originally the home of the great-uncle of Ralph Waldo Emerson. One of our favorite times were breakfast. Amelia, our hostess, is a great cook and so much fun to be around. “Don't be mistaken by first impressions as you drive up to this property. I'd like to call it a diamond in the rough. The host/owner, Bob will admit the property needs substantial renovations to the exterior but don't be misled. The property has it's charm and the location cannot be beat for the price. Park your car and forget it. Everything is within easy walking distance. This is our second time for this property and will definitely try to stay again next year. ”

“The Elmere House Bed and Breakfast was incredible in every way! Their daily breakfasts were so amazing—so delicious! Michael and Bill, the inn keepers, worked so hard to make our stay the best. We have stayed in B and B’s all over the world, and this one comes in #1. Our suite was large and beautiful with a fireplace, four-poster bed, and gorgeous pine floors.
