"Beware of bookings via Expedia at this lodge! We booked 3 months before our 4 night stay and paid in full in advance. When we arrived they said they had no record of the booking. It was late in the evening and the lodge is 60 km from the nearest town. They arranged accommodation at a tented lodge nearby but we then spent the next three days negotiating with them to get a refund! "The staff are wonderful, attentive, charming and incredibly helpful. The game drive's were fantastic with the guide brilliantly knowledgeable, patient and excellent at finding animals to view - we saw a pride of lions relaxing after a hunt, giraffes, zebu, antelope, hippos, baboons, naughty monkeys and hundreds and hundreds of elephants. "Really enjoyed our stay here. It was such a characterful hotel and our room was gorgeous with beautiful views over the Chobe river from the balcony. "A fabulous place with the most friendly and accommodating staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Our guide was the most knowledgeable man who knew the name of every bird and animal we saw. He could spot the smallest bird at the top of a tree whilst driving. He found us our first Leopard - amazing. The words “unlimited and luxury” had no bearing on what was to be offered and in my mind constitutes a breach of the trade descriptions acts.
