"This was a fantastic historic home to stay at. It was clean, private and the breakfast was excellent every day. One of the best reasons to stay here is the beach access. The hotel is less than 100 feet from the parking lot of Dyckman Beach - a public beach. So easy to walk to each day! We wish the hotel had an ice machine and a microwave for guests."

"The room that we had was small but in the quaint comfy way, outside amenities (pond, pool, walking trail, picnic tables) were very nice. Great stay for an affordable price for those not planning on their adventure being the hotel itself."

"My family and I enjoyed a relaxing stay in SOHA. The house had plenty of space for 2 adults and 4 children. Loved the quiet front porch for morning coffee and reading! And two full bathrooms was a bonus! Close to the beach and a short walk into town. Would be happy to stay here again…highly recommend! "

"What a great property! I travel frequently, and this was one of my favorite stays. The property, staff, free breakfast, free happy hour, live music, and adorable room were all wonderful. Perfect location to walk to beach, bars/restaurants, farmer's market, etc. I would definitely stay in South Haven again and would book this property if available. "

"If you have a large family and want to do a quick weekend vacation this house is amazing. The pool was perfect for the kids and even us adults getting to sit on the deck. The host was so great with responses when I had a question. Aside from running short on towels this house was perfect with so much more sleeping areas and fun lofts to sleep in for the kids. Would highly recommend and would stay again!"

"GREAT experience! Stayed 3 nights. Incredible views, especially sunset...friendly helpful staff...just a few minutes from town. Older place, but beds were comfortable and everything worked perfectly. We'll be back and next time bring the rest of the family."

"The host was very nice. She let us check in early and check out late. There was no mention of all bedrooms and only bathroom being located on 2nd floor. My son is disabled and my mother is elderly. Getting up and down the stairs was hard and my son couldnt do it more than a few times a day. We would have never stayed having stairs. They were narrow and taller stairs than the average. The home was filthy from kitchen, living room, bedrooms, and bathroom. Tons of cobb webs and bugs everywhere. The dishes were dirty along with the fridge. Stayed pet friendly yet there was glass all over the driveway into back yard. Plus, tons of cigarette butts everywhere. No statement about the drop off cliff in the backyard. Its dangerous. We spent the 1st day cleaning and spent most of our time outside of the home."

"This is my partner and I's second summer staying at Host El's fabulous Fennville cottage. Perfect for two looking to relax and rewind, visit local farm stands (my favorite!), orchards, wineries, not to mention all the amazing restaurants and shops within a short distance from the property. This area of Michigan feels all the more charming, and like home to us with this cottage. I would recommend "El's Place" to anyone looking for a getaway!"

"Our family spent several days at this cottage and it was exactly what we needed. There was room for all of us, the place was spotless and the hot tub was a huge hit! Close to bike trails and walkable to downtown. We enjoyed a day at the beach too. Cottage is well equipped with kitchen and bath necessities plus games and movies. It was a wonderful experience."
