Just to be clear on this review, my family has been renting high end properties in Colorado for the past 12-years and this is the first time we have had to submit this type of review. We rented this property for two weeks the end of June through the early part of July 2026. We were driving up from Texas and several days before we arrived I reached out to the property management company to see if we could get an early check-in. They couldn't confirm and asked me to reach back out in a couple of days. I did and received the same response. I tried again the night before our check-in and was then told it was available for early check-in for an additional charge of $35 to $50 depending on how many hours we arrived early. On this type of property that seemed petty coupled with the fact we had to continually check with the management company to get a final answer instead of them logging our request and then reaching back out to us is poor customer service. Not off to a good start. Upon arrival to the property we found zero towels in the master bedroom, zero facial tissue on property, the garage door was malfunctioning and there was a bird nest above one of the patios and all the patio furniture was coated in bird poop. We reached out to the management company that informed us facial tissue was not included, to scavenge towels from some of the other bathrooms and they would have the garage door looked at when our rental was concluded. For clarity there were 5-6 bath towels on property and about the same amount of hand towels. For a family of (4) staying two-weeks this is the lowest towel count we have ever experienced. Two days later my wife and I were sitting on the front deck when a neighbor (unknown to us at the time) drives up and starts yelling obscenities at us and then drives off. He then returns a hour or so later and does the exact same thing and drives off again. The next day we are in our car leaving the subdivision when this individual drives up acting like he is recording us on his phone while making threatening gestures at us. Now concerned for our safety we reach out to the management company about this issue and receive zero response. The next day we hike up the road and find one of their neighbors has make shift signs lining their property stating "no trespassing" everywhere. We also talked to one of the local realtors, because part of this trip was to possibly purchase a summer home, and come to find out this neighbor has mental issues and has accosted both visitors, contractors and neighbors for multiple years. None of this was disclosed by the management company or owner of the property upon signing the rental agreement. Adding insult, a week after we left the property the management company finally reached out and asked us if we would be willing to share our experiences, so actions could be taken against the neighbor. Really? Maybe someone should have reached out to us to explain the situation while we were still on property. Regardless, it is the responsibility of the property management company and owner to disclose on-going issues like this before entering into a rental agreement. Do yourself and family a favor and choose a different property because no one should have to through this vacationing.
