COME TO ALASKA and enjoy your long awaited Alaskan vacation in a spectacular setting nestled in among the 3,000-7,000' Chugach Mountains. View the wildlife from the front deck and experience the peace and solitude this property has to offer. The chalet sits on the side of a mountain and you may never want to leave. But if you do, just travel six miles down the mountain to Eagle River where you will find shopping and groceries. There, you can access the Glenn Highway and in just ten miles arrive in the city of Anchorage.

This is truly a unique location. Travel from the mountain chalet to the city of Anchorage and places beyond. This is a great location for daytripping. There is so much to do and see.

In state residents who have business, medical, or other needs that bring them iinto Anchorage will find a relaxing, comfortable place to unwind and relax after a tiring day. The fresh air and scenery will take the stress away in short order. It is a short ride to escape the hustle and bustle of your day.

Although we do not yet have a cartop carrier, there is a 16' aluminum canoe available for your use.

SO COME SPEND SOME TIME IN ALASKA - EVERYONE SHOULD VISIT AT LEAST ONCE!

Thank you for letting us stay at your beautiful home. The views were absolutely incredible. The property was warm and cozy upon arrival. I appreciated the courtesy bar of soap, pantry with extra snacks and the refrigerator had extra condiments like butter and chocolate syrup (because you have to have hot chocolate on the balcony). Although this trip was with friends i told my wife about how awesome the experience was and she wants to plan a trip to come back with our lids (ages 11 and 9). If i could give this experience 10 stars i would.

Totally Amazing!!!
The house was beautiful! It had all the necessary ammenities and then some! The view of the mountains from the deck was breath taking. You could also hear the sound of the rushing water from the river in the valley. I also liked the fact that the house was in a very quiet, less travelled area and still only about a 15 minute drive from town. The hosts were awesome and very hospitable!!! We definitely would return!!!!

Moose on the loose
Family had a great time. Mountain views were amazing. Saw a moose mom and her calf grazing less tha 20 feet away in the back yard of the property for about a half hour. John is a great host with a amazing property. Would recommend to anyone.

One of the best ever!
This property is top-notch and a great value. Mountain scenery from every window, one large and one small deck, beautiful layout, all kinds of extras ( games, food, hiking equipment, and on and on). A romantic loft bedroom and two more bedrooms to boot. Plenty of towels. A beautiful place very well thought out and one of the best VRBOs we have ever stayed in. 10 stars if possible.

I wanted to surprise my good friend with a birthday trip and booked in Eagle River. This location is absolutely amazing—even better than the pictures! So many thoughtful touches and super clean. We saw a moose on our first day and plenty of tracks on other days. My communication with John was seamless and prompt. I highly recommend this spot. Great location and exceptional hosts!

A dream home...
I have looked for weeks for a place for our family to stay in for a week in Alaska. Nothing seemed right until I came across this one. As soon as I saw the pictures, I knew. It felt perfect. And indeed, it was perfect. The house is such a beautiful, pleasant, charming, comfortable, and warm house. My husband and kids loved it. We loved that it's on a mountain and we loved the scenery as we drove up & down. It seemed everyday we would drive past a moose! And how fitting it was to see an actual bald eagle in the wild, in a town named Eagle River. There was so much snow! The kids loved playing in it. The balcony was just perfect to appreciate all of the views. The bed was comfortable. The house was always warm when going inside. It was a great location too as we've traveled and did some sightseeing. You will not regret staying in this dream vacation home. Oh, and I loved the sweet birthday balloon surprise! Thank you!

Perfect Getaway
This Eagle River, AK, cabin was perfect for our family. Just far enough out of Anchorage to feel out in the Alaska wild. The home had all the amenities you would imagine plus more. We were able to see an awesome display of the Northern Lights. Watch for the moose on the road to the cabin!

My family loved staying at this cabin on a mountain on the edge of Eagle River. There was plenty of room and the cabin was well stocked. A Dream Cabin
John was a amazing host. Great communication and super accommodating. Location and cabin are a absolute dream. We couldn't have asked for more. John is a great host, stays in touch and has great place. We found the location to be central to our day outings to Denali, train ride to Seward and glacier watching tour. The views off the front deck are outstanding, the area is quiet and yet your only 25 minutes to Anchorage. There are several short hikes just a short drive from the cabin and don’t be surprised to see bear or moose nearby. The cabin is well stocked, the pantry has all those little things you forget and the towels were soft and full. We really enjoyed are stay and would return in a minute.
