Where to begin? An interesting night for sure! It seems one of our neighbors plugged too many appliances into an outlet and a possible fire/electrical outage occurred. That turned into a good thing as many people simply left for the night and we were upgraded to the Denali Building. These rooms were wonderful! The grounds were great with trails right out the back door. Overall, if we were to stay in Talkeetna again, I would stay here!
It had been raining pretty heavy and the lady behind the counter was telling me and another lady that the inn is located in a flood plain but they would come knock on the door if we needed to evacuate so we did not stay there.
Really nice staff. Pick up from the train and to the bus worked flawless. Place is small and you can hear everything. Rustic I would say. Close to everything in town.
