"The room was large and convenient. Breakfast was very good. The back patio is nice. We walked to a restaurant very close by and it was good. Note that this place is impossible to find using Google maps, gps, and the address provided. We drove around for over an hour trying to find it. Finally we stopped into a store and the very kind lady walked us to the inn. Then we could not figure out which room was ours. We couldn’t find any staff. It said our key should be in the box outside our room, so we checked every room, but no box had any keys. We called out and tried to phone, but there was no answer. We were a bit frustrated because we drove around for so long looking for the place, and then we couldn’t get our room. Finally after a long time a very nice lady appeared and showed us our room. Another thing to note- the stairs are steep and irregular, since it is an old inn. Very charming and full of character. "

"Really liked this hotel, a tiny village that has two great hotels, this being the more affordable. Modern interior with lots of design touches and a cool positive vibe. Genuinely friendly staff who are happy to help. A pleasant 2 days spent. "

"A nice property with a courteous staff. The room was small but well designed. The hotel is located in a very good location, adjacent to a tram stop that takes you right into the Old Town section. Amenties such as a liquor store, gas station convenience mart and a full market were within easy walking distrance. Additionally, a short walk in the other direction led us to a nice german pub with inexpensive beer and tasty pub grub. The only thing that prevented me from giving five stars was the fact that the room air conditioning did not work on a day where the temperature peaked at over 90F. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay at this property"

"I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious with a great variety of options. What truly stood out, though, was the exceptional service. After I checked out, I realized I had left the ear pieces of my AirPods behind. I contacted the hotel, and to my relief, they quickly located them. Not only that, but they carefully wrapped them in bubble wrap and mailed them all the way to my home in the U.S. I truly appreciated their prompt and considerate response—it went above and beyond what I expected. This level of care and thoughtfulness is rare and truly appreciated. Thank you to the wonderful staff for making my stay not only enjoyable, but also memorable!!"

"Although we reserved for 2 adults + 1 child (11 year old), the bed for the child was not ready, we made the bed on the sofa using the sheets in the drawer. However sofa was very uncomfortable even for a child."

" A nice family run hotel in a charming quiet medevial Franconian village along the Main River with vinyards on the hills above. Seems to have been fairly recently renovated. Friendly English speaking staff. We were able to upgrade our room to a much larger room. The busy hotel restaurant is the big draw here and we ate breakfast (included buffet) and dinner there 3 times. Many good quality food choices. We spoke to a young professional couple at the table next to us and they come to this hotel restaurant for dinner from 10 miles away on a monthly basis so that says something. After staying 3 nights in Wertheim we moved our base to this hotel to cover other areas including visiting: Wurzburg, Rothenburg, Iphofen (restaurant: Kulinarium), and other surrounding area towns. Easy 10 minute drive to main highway. The hotel has a courtyard with parking for a fee but we parked for free 5 minutes down the street along the Main River and enjoyed watching the ships on the river and walking through the old town. Typical Franconian dish we would recommend trying is "Schaufele" which is tender and delicious pork shoulder."

"Excellent hotel in a great location, easy to access the tram or better to walk along the path by the river into town. We didn't breakfast at the hotel it was a bit busy. But very good little bakery just down the lane in front of the hotel. Just be aware that the booking and assess the your room number and pin code is only available via the web page and then wasn't obvious to find, connection on 3g was very slow. It would be better if this info was in the email. "
