Its situation on the edge of a road that connects Beira Baixa with the other Beiras, made it a mandatory center of passage for the almocreves and other visitors who had to pass there. Village of great traditions, its essence is the shale with which most of its dwellings are built. Village of the "Schist Villages" network, is in full architectural recovery in order to promote regional tourism. It is about 20 km from Piodão village, and the accommodation in this village is of quality and at symbolic prices in relation to it.
