If you like broken beds, dirty dusty rooms, cutlery that’s not been washed, beans that are not even no frills, the whole place is like something out of horror movie. I could go on for ages. Thompsons Arms Holiday Lets + B & B
Thompsons Arms Holiday Lets + B & B"Nice little cottage at a decent price, lovely owners. Bed was comfortable and it was useful having a kitchenette. Place had a few problems (such as the shower making the whole room wet and the extractor fan being broken) but was generally ok, but would have liked it to be cleaner (blood on headboard, hair on pillow, mould in shower, rather dusty in places, fridge could have been cleaner and tv handsets looked a biohazard!)"
"brilliant place. staff were lovely, very friendly. i needed vegan options for breakfast and they were more than happy to accommodate. great location and easy parking behind the pub. would definitely stay again"
"Great place. A few minutes walk from the main lodge where you leave your car. There is a parking bay to unload your gear if required. Note there is no lift so not suitable if you have walking difficulties. Nice modern room with big bathroom. Tv is tiny"
Mercure York Fairfield Manor Hotel
Mercure York Fairfield Manor Hotel"Lovely anniversary weekend, couldn't fault it at all."
"Second stay at this hotel and room was very clean with a large bathroom. Bed was very comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was good but coffee could have been hotter. Bar area was good with plenty of choice of drinks. Located in a nice quiet and secluded venue and ideal for visiting York and surrounding area."
The Talbot Hotel, Malton, North Yorkshire
The Talbot Hotel, Malton, North Yorkshire"The hotel is beautiful, well equipped, very nice staff. The location is gorgeous with easy access to the centre of Malton. The room was very nice, clean and spacious. Only negative was mold in the bathroom, apart from that our stay was perfect!"
