“Some of the basics were not provided on our stay so really wasn't worth the money. Communication - didn't receive the check-in details by email as instructions said. The day before the stay I tried to contact the host multiple ways, including Hotels.com support x 2, with no luck. Eventually on the day of the stay I was told I would get the information at 12pm. At around 1pm I had not received the information so chased again. Was finally given the information at 2pm but was rudely told that……

“Lovely, cosy, quirky little place in a very quiet part of town. It has everything I needed for my stay. Only stayed 1 night for work purposes but wanted to stay longer. Rod was very welcoming and throughly nice chap.”

“This property is quite large and run like a hostel. There were maybe six rooms that were occupied while we were there. We had an en-suite bathroom. The kitchen and living room and sun room are shared spaces as is the TV and fridge. The common areas are under utilized by the tenants. If you’re looking for a convenient place to lay your head before boarding a flight at Gatwick this will work. We’ve never rented a room in a house before. Not sure we’d do it again. It’s like a dorm, you’re at the……

“We booked and paid for a one night stop over as we were travelling back to the USA the following day. Up until 2 hours before check-in we had still not received check-in instructions from the host? We were left stranded in Crawley, sitting in a Cafe, with tons of luggage, frantically trying to contact the host and thereafter VRBO customer service. We ended up having to find alternate accommodation at the very last minute. This host / property should be removed from the VRBO website!!”
