Tranquility, Civil war park walk, pool, and sauna

Located next to the Fredericksburg civil war park in very quiet and tree filled 2 acres land on a dead end street. You can take 5 minutes short walk to access the park and enjoy more than 10 miles of historical beautiful federal civil war park paths for biking or walking. Or you can just stay in the house and relax with the tranquility hearing bird songs, doing some outdoor cooking on the seasonal pool deck, relax in the sauna, and/or take a leisurely walk around the house on the circular drive way. Or you can visit charming historical Fredericksburg downtown, very walkable, filled with restaurants and shops, George Washington boyhood home, Kenmore (George Washington sister home), and/or Rappahannock river walking path. They are only 15 minutes’ drive away. One can enjoy commuter train day-trip to Washington DC. The train station is only 10 minutes away.

1. Detailed chargeable items related to the property damage such as permanent stains on the bedding items are listed in rental agreement item 3.
2. Swimming pool is only open from Memorial day weekend through Labor day weekend. Guest need to provide firewood. They are available from Lowes nearby.
3. The pool is not heated, replastered in 2021, and well maintained.
4. The sauna is open year around.
5. A hard copy of the rental agreement will be available in the house.
6. If the rental agreement document is not available for download or review in the house rule section as "rentalagreement.pdf", you can contact the host to get one. Sometimes it happens due to VRBO. But if you finish booking, you will get one in the confirmation email or message.
6. The 3rd bedroom has a full bed but it sits against wall and the room is little tight.

Quiet & Cozy
My husband and I, along with a good friend stayed three nights at this nice home. The house was very clean and worked well for us as we traveled by train into Washington DC each day. During the evening hours we were able to relax in the cozy, quite home while enjoying all the amenities that the home provided. We would definitely stay again.

Fantastic pool, close to Fredericksburg
We were a family of five, three kids ages 1, 3, 5. We enjoyed the town of Fredericksburg, just a ten minute drive away. We’d go to town at least once a day, and for the hours in between, having the pool at the house to entertain the kids (and parents), was key! It was very clean and a nice temperature (it was August). The house had a nice kitchen and bathrooms, they seemed to be newly updated. There was very good communication, with notes around the house to explain what was what. we were very happy with our stay.

Nice private retreat!
We have stayed here twice now and really enjoy the pool and private location it offers. The owner came daily to check and clean the pool but was leaving as we woke up to play! He did not need to enter the house, so it was not a problem at all. The location to downtown Fredericksburg and grocery stores is convenient and makes things easier. My only con would be that the living room furniture is not the most comfortable. But we will return to enjoy the pool and relaxation the property provides.

House was very clean and spacious, everything seemed new. Pool was big and private. Host thought of almost everything you may need. Location was quiet but a short drive from stores, restaurants and activities. Our two day stay was wonderful.

Great location, close to area attractions, things to do and places to eat. House was clean and well equipped for our couples weekend. Pool area was clean, unfortunately it rained most of our weekend so we couldn't use it. But we did have a small window of opportunity to sit outside and it was such a peaceful and quiet area. We will certainly come back to this house again in the future...

A Nice Quiet Get-a-way
The description is fairly accurate. The pool was very enjoyable and very clean. Great location and extremely quiet. The beds were very comfortable with plenty of blankets if needed. The owner has labeled a number of areas, so you know how to use the particular amenity. That was helpful. However, bring additional trash bags and paper towels. There are a few things that could use some upgrades like outdoor furniture and the fire pit. However the owner charges a VERY reasonable price for the house, so I still give it a five star review because most houses with a pool do not rent for this price. The owner was great to deal with. The only knock on cleanliness was because of the pots and pans in the kitchen were dirty. Overall we were very satisfied with our stay.

Perfect Host and House
The best Air B&B experience i have had. Host was friendly, welcoming and accomodating. Great communications and response time. Hone was beautiful, comfortable, clean and quiet. Wonderful amenties and welcome treats. If you are planning a visit to the Fredericksburg area, you need to stay here! We will be back in the fall and hope to stay again.

May 15 to May 19 Review We are sisters who have spent more than 20 years having an annual gathering using vacation rentals. The “Tranquility” property provided an enjoyable stay. We very much appreciated the following: • Driving instructions to the house were helpful and Owner quickly responded to our questions and requests. • door entrance code We was easy and logical to use • The house was very clean and organized with plenty of towels and extra blankets. • there were helpful labels posted at light switches and doors • We were especially thankful the white binder included television operation and a photo of remote control. • Our only suggestion is that the kitchen includes salt and pepper and a few spices. • We did not use the pool but enjoyed sitting outside in the forested surroundings. Beautiful and clean
The house felt like home as soon as we walked in. Plenty of room for the group I was with, clean and very quiet; even with teenagers talking late into the night on the other side of the wall we couldn’t hear them. Convenient to the train station and Fredericksburg down town. The yard was blooming and we enjoyed taking pictures of the beautiful flowers.

Had a great time at this property and in Fredericksburg. The location is away from the bustle but very close to downtown and practically on the battlefield. Great house for my family of four! The property was easy to find, it was extremely clean and organized, it had everything we needed (kitchen supplies, lots of towels, plenty of blankets for the winter), was close to shops and restaurants, and the owner was extremely communicative. The property was nicely wooded, but very convenient to the local area. Everything was clean and worked. One bathroom had a tub and the other bathroom had a shower which worked for all of us. The beds and pillows were comfortable and we like firm mattresses. There were extra pillow, towels and blankets available.
