Down a winding little road near an inconspicuous town, you may be fortunate and find “The Silver Strand”. It’s a lesser know but wonderful Irish beach in C.O Donegal. Surrounded by small-ish, green cliffs covered in the sheep’s trodden pathways, it is a great place to swim, or take photos. If only it was the #golden strand, it would be a perfect entry.

"We loved our time at the Hidden Lodge. It was a perfect place for us to tuck in for a couple days of a slow-down in the middle of our two week trip around Ireland. The quiet town of Ardara had anything we needed and even some sweet little shops to explore. (Definitely stop and visit with Eddie at his tweed shop and get a demonstration of his loom!) "This was a very nice stay. It was spacious and clean. We were able to park our 2 cars in the back. We lived being able to walk to a nearby pub fur a pint or to grab some snacks at the convenience store. We were able to cook family dinners (loved the air fryer, lots of plates). We were able to wash and hang some laundry (so kind of you to leave detergent for us to do so). I was thankful for the 3 bathrooms and on demand hot water. And having a dishwasher for easy clean up was nice, too. We were able to drive to visit family and see local sights. St. John's Point was stunning!!"
