“Our large family enjoyed getting together in this spacious house and exploring the area around Monmouth, as well as further afield. Lake Cochnewagon itself is beautiful. The property is clean and bright, with ample space for cooking and eating together, as well as playing together inside and out. The beds are all large (even the bunkbeds are doubles) and have very comfortable mattresses (a rarity in many rentals). There was plenty of room outside for volleyball and other games. “This is an ideal location for a fun getaway for any season. Plenty of room for a large/extended family. While there is a road between the house and lake it didn’t detract from the experience at all. Pro tip, in cooler seasons turn on the ceiling fans to push the warmer air down. Otherwise the main room will feel cold. The dock is slightly off level and a couple doors don’t latch completely but those are just signs of a well loved camp.”

A few updates are needed with the introductory welcome materials and equipment information that will be easy but useful to correct. Glad we had a chance to pause in western Maine, with a view of close mountains and the distant Presidential Range in NH.
