This is an excellent historical property. It has been painstakingly restored and is both comfortable and elegant. We really enjoyed our time here, the bed was one of his not the most comfortable that we have slept on in the two months that we've been on the road. The staff was welcoming and friendly. The restaurant is excellent but a bit pricey.

After an initial mix up which was soon rectified we found our room in the hotel block, it was quiet, a good size and spotlessly clean but basic, no storage, no aircon and quite drab. Not quite a comfort plus room.
The whole place is an unusual missmash of concrete buildings with the hotel block Incorporated into a seminar/educational course institute. We were woken at 6.30am by a loudhailer calling runners to a race start.
The reception staff were friendly and helpful and resolved the mix up. Ok for a nights stopover.
