"Wonderful location great cottage so much so plan to book again in march"

"Riverview Cottage is a well maintained, cozy, and well-equipped cottage. We spent a week here and couldn’t have been more pleased with the accommodations. The kitchen was very well-equipped. The separate washer and dryer made it easy to catch up with the laundry after a bit of traveling. Located 5 minutes from the Calanais Standing Stones, the cottage is conveniently located to other attractions on the west coast of Harris. While we would recommend doing any major provisioning in Stornoway, the Carloway Community store is only about an 8 minute drive away should you run out of milk or bread. Stornoway itself is an easy 30 minute drive away. We would definitely consider staying at this property again if we returned to Lewis & Harris. "

"The house is lovely and comfortable. It had everything we needed in the kitchen and living space. Very quiet location and so nice to have a washer & dryer. The hosts, Jan & Colum, were easy to reach and very friendly. We were welcomed with a wee Scottish breakfast in the refrigerator when we arrived. Would definitely recommend! "

"Stunning location, nothing but peace and tranquility. Very comfortable accommodation, very well equipped, and very friendly hosts. The fresh flowers and bottle of wine were an extra special touch. Seeing otters in the loch from the kitchen window was truly amazing."

"Gorgeous cosy cottage with stunning views over the Uig sands. 3 generous double bedrooms, very well stocked kitchen including a double air fryer, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine, good WiFi. 2 minute walk to access the lagoon of Uig sands, we swam everyday. It’s a remote tiny village which really helps you get away from it all, but lots to do around the place, we did some lovely hikes, seatrek boat tour, visiting Luskentyre beach, and Butt of Lewis lighthouse. Loads of wildlife and saw white tailed eagles everyday Highly recommended and Christina was very responsive and helpful with our stay. "

"The property provided everything that we needed. The fixtures and fittings were generally of good quality and everything , except the tv worked as required. The tv appeared to have problems with the signal and at times, some channels could not be accessed.The location provided very good access to downtown and to the roads leading out of town.The kitchen was well equipped and preparing meals was relatively easy."
