The rooms are good - though non smoking , someone just doesn’t care . Housekeeping should have been alert before room allotment to next guests. Alas this was missing. The bar is not for family though we sat there . Better to be in the room .

This 1100 year-old monolithic Varaha statue is just plain fun, with rows of carved figures draped like a blanket over the boar's back. This is the one of the smallest temples at Khajuraho, but no less intricately carved. From Wikipedia: Varaha is the third Avatar of the Lord Vishnu, in the form of a Varaha (Boar). He appeared in order to defeat Hiranyaksha, a demon who had taken the Earth (Prithvi) and carried it to the bottom of what is described as the cosmic ocean in the story. The battle between Varaha and Hiranyaksha is believed to have lasted for a thousand years, which the former finally won.
