This is my second time staying at Forza Kyoto. Loved the location, it is located on the main shopping street. They now do self check-in, which was a little weird because there were available staff, so I thought service could be a little better. Not all rooms have a separate shower and bath area.

Really centrally located to attractions like Nishiki Market, the Yasaka Temple, etc. Easy access to subway (by which you can get to Arashiyama and Fushimi Inari Taisha). Hotel is located in a bustling shopping district - if you want to get away from the crowds, this isn’t the place for you. For us, it was perfect.

Great clean business hotel in the heart of downtown Kyoto located next to Nishiki Market and Teramachi Dori and a mere 10 min walk from Gion. Nice rooms and amenities with very friendly and courteous staff

I love this hotel. I will for sure stay here again if i go back to kyoto. The entire hotel was aesthetically pleasing. It’s clean, beautifully designed. We had free sake every night. The front desk was friendly and helpful. The washroom was well thought off. The location is quiet/ safe despite surrounded by all the shops you could think of. Gion district is walking distance. The best hotel we’ve stayed in through out our stay in japan.

Spectacular location between two underground train stations. Lots of shopping and dining options. The hotel was just wonderful. A peaceful retreat after busy days out. Breakfast was incredible; delicious options and lots of choice. Also loved the daily complementary sake! Bed was comfortable. I just can't fault it! Restaurant tip: around the corner from the hotel is a restaurant called Sumibi to Wine that looks like a ramen bar and priced accordingly but is actually a "European" restaurant. Only after being seated and looking at the menu did we realise this and were disappointed as we were wanting to eat Japanese food but we didn't want to be rude and leave. Fear Not! This place presented "European food" Japanese style and it was the most spectacular dinner we had all trip. I had the raw whitebait and quinoa with celariac sauce. You can only eat food this good in Europe in a Michelin restaurant. I cannot rate it highly enough.
