“This was the perfect base camp for a few days of exploring around Asheville and Chimney Rock. We loved coming back to the relax on the front porch or by the stream and were very thankful to be able to add a third night to our original booking. We are in a road trip from Maine to Georgia, and the hot tub also made for a nice way to relax while on the road. As I write this review from a roadside hotel near Atlanta, I miss the quiet babble of the stream…”

“We loved this property! It was very new - didn't have that "lived in" feeling at all and no obvious wear and tear on any appliances, furnishings, or kitchen tools. And very clean!! The house had most everything you could want...and great views. We had 2 small kids with us who really enjoyed the vanishing steps to the lake. “My only complaint is that the original listing has 'hot tub' as an amenity, and a large soaking bathtub is NOT a hot tub. This part of the listing should be changed. “Very nice stay! We enjoyed the privacy of the cabin with proximity to Lake Lure. The cabin was perfect for our 3 generations: main floor BR for 89-yr old, plus 32-yr old w/ 2 dogs, and 68-yr old middle. Varying needs and all met! One cautionary comment, and the reason for my one 4 star rating (accuracy of listing) - the fenced dog yard is secure and big, but it's very steep (not apparent in the pic), both the yard itself and the access steps.
