"You get what you pay for, I guess. However, I was expecting to at least cook food since we had a small kitchen - nope, not allowed to cook. Then we purchased food from outside so we could have something to eat in early mornings, but the ants got to it before we did. Also, the bathrooms are tiny, the TV in the "living room" doesn't have any channels so it was useless. We just booked this place because it is close to St Peter's chapel so we could attend a funeral. We would be asleep during...

"Obviously, the property is old already. I checked in on this hotel when it was still Hotel D Angelo and it was a bit okay. 20 years after, hotel needs to be renovated. Very evident that it is really old. No shampoo and soap provided. No dental kit, no free bottled water and no toilet paper. To think that its rate is expensive compared to other hotels in the same area"

"Reserved a room on Expedia. When we arrived at the hotel we were informed that they were overbooked and could NOT accommodate us. If that isn’t bad enough, they refuse until today to refund our money. This was all on the eve of typhoon tino and I was traveling with an infant. The front desk couldn’t care less and had no solution. They didn’t realize that they were still offering rooms online while local guests needing shelter were sold all of the available vacant rooms. Luckily we were near the...

"There’s no supplies in the room. The sheets are dirty/stained. The counters are dusty.
The staff could use some service & hospitality training!!!
Food is good and the view is great!"

"Even though there was a secret switch, you have to push to make the AC work. We called and called the front desk, but nobody actually came to fix it until about 7 PM so they let us suffer for five hours with no AC.

"The bathroom was not very clean. There was mildew around the sink and on shower head. The staff immediately addressed the situation. They assigned me another room which was much cleaner. They went out of their way to make sure I had an enjoyable stay. I will stay there the next time I’m in Tacloban City."
