“Very friendly reception from the landlord Gareth who provided a most enlivening atmosphere in the Duke of Wellington ie a darts match for the men and Easter wreath making for the ladies. No food unfortunately but we found an excellent Italian restaurant in nearby Northallerton. The courtyard room was clean and comfortable, marred only by a very awkward shower - not easy to enter, due to lack of space.”

“Very helpful, we were going to be later than anticipated arriving, phoned to let them know, they reassured us it was no problem, everything was ready for our stay. Check-in at the bar was easy, staff showed us to our studio, staff very cheerful. Food in the pub was great, not just pub grub. Only downside, studio was small.”

“This was a great experience, I am finishing my second masters and this was a great place to be while working at University of Durham. If I had known it was so nice, I would’ve booked a longer stay. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and I set off the fire alarm using the toaster and they were very patient with me. It was a little warm the only thing that could be a benefit is a fan.”

“A gem hidden away at the top of a Victorian house. Loved the layout and decor and the fact everything you needed was there. Would rebook for the next visit. “It's definitely got the wow factor as soon as you walk in. The views from the windows (not so much the kitchen one though) are amazing! Overlooking the beach and sea. The place was spotless, very clean and tidy. Good size rooms with comfortable beds. We had to put pressure back in the boiler but there are simple instructions on the boiler itself. The shower took some figuring out. Very close to all the shops and amusements... little 2-5 minutes walk for whatever you need. The perfect location.……
