Charming traditional stone built house in a delightful village

Bridge Cottage is a well equipped and modernised stone built house in the village of Lusigny sur Ouche that overlooks the river. It is approximately 15 minutes from Beaune in the heart of the Burgundy countryside. It is a great base for exploring the regions vineyards. On the ground floor the house has a living room with a traditional flagstone floor in the spring ands autumn this can be heated by a wood burning stove(wood supplied) and a modernised kitchen. Upstairs is a spacious bedroom and modern shower room/toilet. There is a bed the landing that can be used for a child.To the rear is a small secluded courtyard that is ideal for eating out which catches the afternoon and evening sun. There is easy parking outside the house under shade of the trees which can be useful in summer. The village of Bligny sur Ouche is 2 km away and has shops, a baker, a bank, chemist,post office and bar/restaurants. There is a local market every Wednesday morning.

Beaune is the historic capital of the area has a wide range of facilities including several supermarkets an extensive Saturtday market. There are plenty of opportunities to buy wine , cheese and other local produce. There are many historic buildings and sites to visit in the area.
