It’s older but it’s a hidden gem. Staff is awesome, everything is clean and they do special little touches like making a swan out of towels on your bed. Also, if you want to stay somewhere that has activities then Suite Dreams has you covered, literally as this is all indoors; bags, plastic throwing axes, indoor golf screen if you bring your clubs and balls, a separate library with books, pool table, ping pong, air hockey, checkers, Jenga, a bar, video gambling…. Wish I learned about this place sooner!

Very clean. The desk checkin woman was very helpful and courteous. Everything was fine. The only drawback was the included breakfast. 2 kinds of cereal and a waffel maker. A couple of juices and that was about it. However I would stay there again.

This may not be a top notch place but it served my purpose of a bed to sleep. The bed was comfy and there were signs of improvements to the facility. Little options for breakfast but plenty of options in the surrounding area as well as lots of shopping in the area.

The property was dated and needed a deep cleaning of the room we stayed in. You could tell it was not cleaned well from last guest. Hair in bathroom and used bandage behind bathroom door. Carpet needed cleaned. Room rate was not worth what they were calling a "premium room".

Early Check-In
Was staying in Mattoon for an interview and my time was changed. I had no plans and it was 10am the owner and his wife were wonderful and allowed me to check in early without issue. That’s happened twice and both times they were wonderful the staff there are all great!

Great stopover on our way south
I wish hotels would stop using Styrofoam plates and cups. I also noted that the yogurt containers were not recyclable, nor were there any recycling containers and evidence. The mattress was quite comfortable, and the hotel was quite quiet.

Sleep here would be fine if longterm respected it
We utilised the room just for sleeping, but one of the long term residents let her dogs roam the parking lot at all hours, so we were often disturbed by barking outside our door. The fabulous indoor pool being closed is a major letdown. Only saw the staff one time at the desk. Breakfast is very minimum, a wafflemaker with very limited mix, cereal in 2 options, and prepackaged danishes and yogurt with fruit that often sat for days. Bed was comfortable, dogs were happy, shower was high pressure and hot. Standard towels did not get replaced, tiny trash can was not enough and trash often was left in room by cleaning staff.
