“This place was a little on the rough side. The odor in our room was very intense & unpleasant. We left our door open as much as we could to lighten the smell. Breakfast was good.”

“The rooms were clean but there were some routine maintenance issues that needed to be addressed. Exhaust fans in the bathrooms in both rooms didn't work. One bathtub barely drained so you would end up standing in ankle deep water when showering. Staff was friendly and helpful.”

“I guess Wyndham is buying up all the old crack motels, throwing a coat of paint on them and slapping their name on them. The reviews are deceiving, most of the recent ones say “ good”. I can deal with good. I should’ve known as soon as I got out of my car and smelled the thick odor of Fabuloso, clearly being used to cover other odors up. I asked for a downstairs room because we had a big heavy suitcase but was told no, even though there was hardly anyone staying there. I decided to try to……

“An amazing stay in the beautifully quiet Blue Ridge mountains. Picturesque Lake Lure is only a short stroll away. Chef Richard prepares a wonderful gourmet breakfast each morning and this definitely not your basic B&B but all at very reasonable prices. Thank you all. I cant’t wait to return.”
