My Boston Terrier loved the back yard but he thought the deer that visited daily was a dog. We have a mastiff. Every thing was clean and had every thing we needed to make our stay comfortable."

"This location is perfect as a base camp for exploring the area. The host was really nice and has outfitted the old cabin and its newer addition with everything you'll need. The host lives next door but is not visible from the cabin, so it feels woodsy! A big plus is that leashed dog(s) are welcome with permission from the host. Mountain roads, woods, starry sky, hidden driveway, tight parking area, table and chairs outside all lend a quaint and peaceful Blue Ridge atmosphere. We loved it!"

We enjoyed evenings in the hot tub, grilling, and relaxing with games by the firepit on the back deck. In the mornings we watched the deer and their fawns wander through the backyard. We highly recommend this cabin. While we stayed with all adults, it is very appropriate for children also."

"A very quiet and relaxing stay. Loved going for walks with my dog and not seeing another person or car around. Could use a new shower curtain as it had mildew on the bottom which was gross. Towels are quite thin. Bring soap for the shower. Kitchen has all the essentials. Couches and beds are comfy. Enough blankets for a cozy sleep. "If you have kids you'd like to unplug and let bike, fish, or feed farm animals, this is the place! The staff are so kind and friendly. They delivered us fresh eggs our first day! The ponds are stocked so bring rods. Our 9-year-old caught his first largemouth bass all on his own. Also, George Washington stayed in a stone cottage out back. They set up a copy of his writing about it. We highly recommend this hidden gem!"
