“It was perfect for what we were after. A night in Southampton before getting an early ferry. Location for that. The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. Really helped make the stay. Only thing we would change would be a fan in the room, as widows didn't open much to get air flow. That said it was one of the hottest nights of the year. ”

“The apartment was satisfactory, was in a great location and our stay was quiet and event free. The only downside was the smell in the entire unit, of sewer gas, especially in the bathroom. Also, a light was burnt out in the bathroom, making it very dark. Otherwise, it was good for a night or two but probably not much longer.”

“The host never responded to any communications. I tried calling, SMS, email and hotel.com chat. The agent also tried to contact them unsuccessfully. I had to wait until 4pm on the day of arrival before the agent agreed to re-book. After that I then had to wait for hotels.com to respond. Gave up and asked for a refund. These people will leave you oit of pocket, on the street, in the dark. Dangerous and unethical practice especially for lone female travellers.”

“If you’re looking for accommodation with plenty of space then look no further - we found this little gem via Expedia. Property is finished to a very good spec, with parking not being a problem. Lots of space inside vs your standard hotel stay and much more competitively priced, so what’s not to like? There are plenty of restaurants and cafes in town so breakfast isn’t and wasn’t a problem, we decided to dine out every single day, day and night. But if you choose to cook then the kitchen is……

“We just got back and I have to say I give this property 4 1/2 out of 5. Clean, tidy, excellent location (7 mins walk to/from the pier and only 3 mins from the town centre), has almost all you need, fridge, good size freezer, microwave, cooker and hob,,TV, fan, great shower room and lots more. We we very happy with the overall internal offerings. There were a few minor down points, no broom which was much needed also no mop and when you have a mostly open shower it makes a difference, the bed……
