Very nice two bedroom condo, well equipped and comfortable. However, no view of the ocean and the outside of the buildings need some maintenance. The ocean takes its toll in this area.

Our place is huge! So much room! Very clean! Friendly staff person and so helpful! The property is doing some construction right now but it’s not been a problem and will be great when it has been completed. We would definitely stay here again and definitely will tell others about Schooner Landing.

The carpets were super dirty and stained and the furniture had a greasy feeling to it. Probably because neither furniture or carpet have ever been cleaned. I found "clean" blankets to put over the couch and a chair in the living room to at least have something clean to sit on. There was a soft spot in the living room under the carpet like there might be a hole in the floor. A banister leading down into the living room was loose. Who looks at the condition of the carpet and furniture and thinks this is okay for guests? I felt dirty and grimy the entire time I stayed there. Will not be staying there again.

The site needs a few comsmetic updates and is currently under contruction. Buttt - listening to the waves, before bed, from the Pacific made my stay simply amazing & I highly recommend walking down the beach! What a gorgeous view!

I liked how sleculded this property felt being by the main road. But this property is geological nightmare and one of the buildings is slipping downward and sinking into the cliff downward towards the ocean. The property is rundown and the condominiums are flithy dirty inside with stained dated carpets and lighting fixtures covered in rust. Gross dirty walls and cabinets. The windows are moldy covered with rusty blinds. The porch was less to be desired and view of storage containers and a excavator. Just really dated. The office staff was nit attentive to our needs and claimed to try to get a hold of the property manager as we wished to get our money back and not stay as our children were having to sleep on an air mattress, wven though it was advertised that the unit had a murphy bed for the additional guests. The furniture was old and covered with hair and there was bugs all over rooms. Just a 1 out 10 stay. Will not be back. Plus the slipping building and geological hazards around the property as you drive in is not safe. Should be shut down.

As a traveling family of four we really appreciated that the room we rented had two separate bedrooms and that each had a bathroom. It was nice to have a kitchen and a shared living room/dining room with working (automatic gas) fireplace. The property is ageing and is constantly under a slow renovation process. That being said, construction didn't start too early (8:30am) the days we were there and it wasn't overwhelming. Pool was not available, but that is not something we needed. The unit had a jet tub (which could accommodate 1.5 adults) and we enjoyed that. The room cleaner was excellent and the front office staff was welcoming. Someone called us part way through to ask us if the stay was to our liking and that was a nice customer service experience. Overall, it was good value for the money and space we needed to spread out and relax.

Tis property is really over do for a face lift inside and out. It does appear that there is some maintenance construction in progress which is better late than never. Peeling paint on the outside and very dirty carpet inside, The bed was very comfortable and the only positive inside and a good view outside.

Property was clean, a little dated but everything was fine. The pool was not working and I didn’t get that information until I had booked it. They sent an email after I booked it letting me know and that they had an alternative pool. When we got there there was not an alternative and it seemed like there hadn’t been a pool option for awhile which was a reason I booked this property. That was disappointing.

The scenery is gorgeous and the condo was great. I expected construction so that was fine. But, no wifi despite it being advertised for the property. I called the office and they said “yeah we know about the problem. Maybe you could drive into town (at 7:30 pm) and find a restaurant with fee wifi”. Very disappointed since I had work I had to do and Couldn’t. Plus my parking space was not near the condo in pouring rain and was unpacked and not marked. Overall hurt what was otherwise a good trip b

The property was great. I did not know about the construction until after I paid for the room. The room was great. I just wish I knew it was under construction before I confirmed. I would stay here again, as long as the work is done.

Nice guy at check in but there was also another customer in the same,(very small), space talking on the phone loudly and not waring a mask. This made me feel very unsafe. Room was nice but no ocean view. Very clean except the old carpet and old coach. Felt I had to put a blanket on it before I could sit on it. Then I didn’t have an extra blanket when I got cold at night. Overall, had a pleasant stay but will probably look for an ocean view next time.

we booked this place because the pool and hot tub. when we got there, the club house was condemned and falling off the hill as one of the other building already did. there was no mention that those were closed, just pictures showing how nice they were. after we checked in reading reviews, it has been closed for almost a year or more. so this was not a new issue.

The unit we stayed in was very nice. Exceptionally clean. We reserved here to enjoy the hot tub, swimming pool, pool table, etc. All of which were closed. We splurge to get away for a night, and would not have spent that kind of money to stay at this location if we would have known all club house activities would be closed.

It was near the beach clean units except it would have been nice to have hand held shower heads since the pressure is low, people with thick hair and are disabled have a hard time rinsing off

Why no mask?
Walked into the office and the front desk person was not wearing a mask. She was behind plexiglass, but I’m quite sure the mask mandate would still include them. Property had no access to the beach, no view, and heard the street as opposed to the ocean. Bummer.

Our suite was much grander than we expected. It was actually an apartment with 4 separate rooms plus the bathroom. The jetted tub was a nice surprise which we partook of and thoroughly enjoyed. The kitchen could have been stopped a little better but on the whole it was an excellent stay and we will return again.

Unit 505
The temperpedic mattresses were amazingly comfortable. We stayed in #505 with an oceanfront view from the dining room, living room, and one of the two bedrooms upstairs. The outside trim paint needs to be refreshed, but the unit inside was clean and spacious with two bedrooms and two baths upstairs, a living room, dining area, kitchen and half bath downstairs. One of the baths upstairs had a shower, and the other had a jacuzzi tub with shower wand. The indoor swimming pool, hot tub, and sauna were great! We also played pool in the clubhouse and walked down the trail to the beach. It is quite a long walk downhill to the beach on the trail, but the beach itself is walkable even though there are lots of rocks. There are better walking and playing beaches just a few minutes away by car. This is a good place to stay when you want room for the family to be together and not have to hang out in just a hotel room. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, and dishes, so you can easily cook in the unit. Check-in time is 5 pm and check-out time is 11 am. That is only 18 hours. I asked if there was late checkout available for a fee and was told no. It would be nicer to have checkout time at noon.

Apartment was well maintained and nicely child proof. Location was nice and friendly. My only issue is that they double charged me for taxes even after I showed my receipt showing I had already prepaid without even contacting me. I now get the post vacation fun of trying to get them and Expedia to talk and resolve this. They should have been professional and worked the issue out with Expedia and not place the responsibility on me

Falling apart condo
The condo is falling apart. The bathroom door downstairs in our condo didn't close due to the ground sinking. The phone didn't work. The biggest problem was that our key card didn't work for almost the whole trip we had to keep the backdoor unlocked and have our child jump the patio rail to let us in and no one notified us 36 hours later when it was fixed. They are extremely unorganized. I will NEVER stay at Schooner Landing again!

Communication with staff, check in and check out was terrible. The reservation for a one bedroom said it slept 4. I called several days ahead to verify that; it was confirmed. Was also confirmed at check in - no one mentioned an inflatable mattress. Also at check in was a line of other guests, each with some room problem to be fixed (not a good sign). Once in our condo we found no sign of a second bed anywhere. So back to the front desk. What finally arrived was a bed in a box. Not what we were expecting but functional. At check out we were told we hadn’t paid, but check in told us our card had been charged. We went round and round and were finally allowed to leave, her error not ours (all the while she kept mentioning how efficient she is?????). The condo was nice but the exterior of the buildings is in poor condition, rot and weather damage. The grounds are lovely, the picnic table and grill at the bottom of our stairs were handy. I could have liked this place had the staff not been so inefficient.

Schooner landing beach
Suite was very nice and spacious. Kids loved the beach and the rooms. It was lots of fun. We wanted to stay longer but would’ve had to change suites. We booked on hotels.com and and when we got there the office lady told us we had more taxes to pay and that there was a glitch in the system that didnt charge it when we booked it online. So thats the only negative thing i can say. Overall very nice experience

Als wir ankamen, roch es in der Familiensuite stark nach Gas und es waren mehrere Fenster offen, das war schon seltsam. Man war nicht bereit uns ein anderes Zimmer zu geben, erst zwei Reklamationen an der Rezeption und über 20 Minuten später kam dann jemand, der die Gaszufuhr zum Kamin abgestellt hat. Dass die Balkontür nicht zu verriegeln war, konnten wir selbst beheben.
