"The house had lots of spaces, which was nice for our group of 4. Everything was clean, well stocked and convenient. The rooms look fresher in the photos- we are suggesting an update in bedding would be a nice improvement as they were worn."

One of the bedrooms and bathrooms is located on the basement/garden level and has some sewage-like odor, so sleeping in that space did not work out for us. The house was otherwise very convenient but hot since no AC was available. "Our main criteria when booking for 4 couples was 4 en-suite double rooms. This house offered so much more. The location was excellent for getting around. It is only one stop from Trinidade station, which is a main transfer hub and has lines to and from the airport. Trinidad’s is walkable in about 7 minutes. The house had all the amenities we needed for a long weekend and we liked the sheltered outdoor area, where we ate breakfast. The bathrooms were all good with decent showers too. Keypad entry...

"We loved staying at Rui's place. We were able to walk downtown every day and enjoy the hustle and bustle but then return to the apartment located in a very quiet neighbourhood. Being just a few minutes walk from a good sized grocery store was an extra bonus. Thanks for everything Rui!"

"There's much to like about The Yellow House, with one major exception. The bed is quite comfortable, and while smallish, the quarters are comfortable as well. Wifi worked very well, and the patio is a huge plus, for relaxing in the sun (I smoke the occasional cigar, so it was very welcome. It's also very quiet except for the occasional- as in not very often- barking of the two dogs next door. They're pretty cool pooches, so it was not a problem. Jose contacted us, met us at the unit and the. Asked to take us for a 30 min orientation of the neighbourhood so we knew where everything was. Lots of great information and we went from being in a forest to a welcoming park in the 30 min. Coffee and pasteis de nata. We would definitely recommend this unit...

"This location had so much room, it was awesome and 3 full baths. I would wakeup early and walk just 3 minute to a local cafe for coffee and pastel de nata. It has easy access to public transportation and major stores walking distance away. Loved it."

"This place in Gaia is great because we love to walk everywhere. We are a family of 5 with older teens. It is very close to the cables car entrance, which is great at sunset, and close to wonderful restaurants. Douro-Velho was so good that we went there twice for dinner in the short 3 nights that we stayed in Gaia. We are already planning our next trip to Portugal because we really needed more time. And we can’t wait to see it again soon. This is a great place to visit and spend a least a week."

"the house was perfect for 6 ladies travelling for a 60th birthday. The house has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms which was really spacious for us all. There is an outdoor terrance that gets afternoon sun which was a perfect setting for a drink in the evening. The house is around a mile from the centre of Porto, which was perfect for us to get breakfast on our walk into Porto, Taxis are easy to get for those who don't like to walk. We would choose this house again if there was a group of us visiting...

"The house was very nice with lots of space and great views of Porto. It is located just across the river. It is about a 10 minute walk down to old town, which has restaurants and shops. A quick walk across the bridge from old town and you are in the heart of Porto. There is a great bakery just up the street from the house that stopped at every morning. There are also local places nearby for Fado and dinner. Great place. Highly recommended."

"Loved the room. Very spacious, nice, and clean. The shower alone was amazing and deserves 5 stars on its own. The staff was very accomodating to my plant-based breakfast request and made sure I had enough food. Our room safe battery died right before our check out and the staff resved the issue in a very professional and fast manner. The area is great too. Would stay here again. "
