"Nice guest house with very happy helpful staff. Offered a choice of rooms the one we chose was spacious clean with a comfy bed and an adequate bathroom. Air con worked fine. Breakfast on the rooftop terrace will keep you going all day. Nice place to sit and chill out as well. Hotel owner very helpful in booking bus tickets to next destination. It's central to most of what you need to see and do in Bagan. Plenty of places to eat a short walk to the end of the road. Recommended."

"Hotelli on suljettu! Asaiasta aiheeutui minulle huomattavia lisäkuluja sekä hankaluuksia, koska Baganissa on vain muutama hotelli, jotka saavat majoittaa turisteja ja kaikki hotellit ovatkin täynnä ja jouduin tyytymään erityiseen huonoon vain kahden tähden hotellin."

"Expedia confirmed this reservation and immediately took my money. However, upon arriving at this hotel we were informed of several lies Expedia told us: 1) The hotel does not allow foreign guests 2) The hotel has not accepted third party reservations for over two years. All bookings are made directly to the hotel. 3) No one from Expedia or any other third party contacted them to confirm my reservation or resolve the problem I was dealt by expedia's lies. "

Areindmar Hotel

3.0 star property
Nyaung-U
9.2 out of 10, Wonderful, (244)
"The property is dated, the grounds are well kept and the pool is inviting but very very cold. I was the only guest in the hotel. I booked online with no issue but when I checked in the owner insisted on cash only. I had the cash but not what I was expecting. There was not hot water to shower with. The bed is very old and uncomfortable you can feel every spring in the mattress. I would not recommend this hotel. "

Saw Nyein San Guest House

Nyaung-U
9.8 out of 10, Exceptional, (7)
"Saw Nyein San was the highlight of our entire trip to Myanmar. The amazing, friendly, generous staff run a very clean, comfortable guesthouse, and are very helpful with any travel needs. Our room was clean, insect-free, and had strong A/C - everything you'd want in a Burmese guesthouse. Also, the staff makes an incredible breakfast that we looked forward to each day in Bagan - definitely try their mohinga and Shan noodles! Delicious fresh fruit and fruit juices, snacks, and other foods too,...

You can find a great deal from $40 on Pakokku motels with Expedia. Typically, prices are higher during popular times – like weekends and holidays – while staying midweek is often cheaper. To find the best nightly rates on Pakokku motels, try to be flexible with travel dates, and sort search results by price from low to high.
Is it better to stay in a Pakokku motel or hotel?
Motels and Hotels have different perks. When you stay at a motel, you're likely to find free parking and an outdoor pool. Staying overnight at a motel, can be handy when requiring easy road access. You'll often have access to your room from outside, and directly from the parking lot. Hotels generally have room access from inside the building. Motels are also often less expensive than hotels.
