"This was one of the most unique hotels I have ever been in. We really liked staying here on our trek north to Porto after see Berlangas and Obidos. Staff so friendly and helpful, rooms so spacious and clean and uniquely furnished. The early morning wakeup call from the peacock was pretty cool. "

Luckily we were there on a cool night so the lack of air conditioning was okay but a fan would be nice to keep the air moving. Breakfast was lack luster and the bed pillows could use updating. However, it was a really cute space to stay with a family for a few days"

"It was excellent. The home is spacious and conducive for relaxation. The host is super-responsive to questions & concerns. It is right in the historic hearth of Obidos. The only suggestion I would have would be to provide fans, as the house is not air-conditioned."

"Lovely grounds and charmingly decorated interiors. Perhaps not the most comfortable beds (two single beds for my husband and myself) but the ambiance of the place made up for it, and our room and adjoining bathroom were quite spacious. Breakfast was wonderful!"

Its location right off the center off the “main drag” was also a plus. "Walked up from the train station. Beautiful location. Initially confused as to where lobby/ check-in is located because of so many Pousada Vila Obidos signs, but once we located the proper entrance, our experience could not have been better. Pedro is an excellent employee, giving us suggestions, answering questions, seeing us walking along the street and ensuring we were doing well later in the day. Walking along the top of the wall is so fun and you must try a ginja!"
