“Lodge & location is perfect, whether you want to relax or go sightseeing. The lodge was perfect & had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Even though the weather wasn't brilliant, we didn't let that spoil our holiday! The scenery is absolutely stunning!We had a boat trip on lake windermere & enjoyed the Beatrix Potter Attraction.Would highly recommend a visit here!”

“Unfortunately our booked apartment accommodation was unavailable due to a gas leak. However, we were moved to a nice double room and given free breakfast to make up for this. We were also offered 50 % of dinner but the available dining slots were extremely limited so couldn't use that. It was a very comfy hotel, with a great shower, a pleasant mile walk to Keswick. I'd definitely stay again”

“A different day a different walk straight from the door. Just what we wanted! Beauty all around, on the doorstep. Swim in a gorgeous tarn 10 mins walk away. And when you need some R & R there’s a well equipped kitchen and a comfy bed in v tranquil setting, listening to the resident owl. Thank so much!”

“We had a lovely one night stay. We were warmly greeted and our room was spacious, up quite a few stairs so beware if you have heavy cases. We enjoyed a swim in the pool and used the hot tub. A well equipped gym was also available. The pool was very clean and a pleasant temperature. These facilities were all included in the room price but there is a limited timetable when you can use the pool due to lesson and member sessions. We ate dinner at the hotel which was very tasty and well presented....

“We stayed in one of their 2 Viken lodges. It was huge and easily big enough to accommodate all of us with loads of space for kids to run about and explore. Floor to ceiling Windows and and a gabled roof gave stunning views down the valley to the estuary from both floors. The accommodation was modern and stylish and even had its own sauna. The onsite pool was free to use and warm and clean, a good size. Slight hiccup at check in was sorted out well and we were allowed to stay an extra night in...

“Cottage owner made us feel very welcome. The cottage was clean and tidy. Perfect distance to Windemere, lovely side patio/ Garden, not enclosed tho so not ideal for relaxing outside with exploring dogs and toddlers, but perfect for BBQ's and relaxing in a beautiful space if not having to run after a toddler and shouting the dog to come back. But overall its a perfect cottage great showers and well equipped kitchen, plenty of towels provided, and a hand garage shop just down the road for milk...
