"The owner was extremely friendly and welcoming. We met her son and our son was allowed to play with his toys. Bent over backwards to ensure we had a nice stay. Excellent value for money"
"The property has been renovated and it shows. Everything in the room and dining area was new or appeared new. The food was excellent at dinner time and so was the breakfast. But above all the staff, with its owner on top, was friendly, attentive and accommodating. Definitely recommend it!"

The property was beautiful and conveniently located. The whole staff treated us like family specially Agnes. She was amazing. She was so helpful and even booked our dinner reservations one night. "I recently stayed at this hotel and, unfortunately, it wasn’t the most comfortable experience. The room itself was just okay—basic but functional. However, it didn’t feel very clean. There was an awful smell in the room that never went away. There were visible marks on the walls, a stale smell, and the bathroom could definitely use a more thorough scrubbing.
What really put me off, though, was the general atmosphere. Some of the other guests seemed… off. A few were lingering in the hallways at...

"We chose this for an overnight stop, with our pet furry friend, on our way from Santander to Portuguese Silver Coast. Pet friendly and self-catering appealed to us. The communication and the welcome to the lovely property, from Sandra, was exceptional. She went out of her way to show us the accommodation and walk us through the pretty village to the local restaurant, telling us a little about the place as we went.
The property is immaculate and very cosy with everything you need for a short stay. We would have happily stayed longer and will certainly visit again.
The staff at the restaurant were lovely too and the food was excellent and worth the little extra we paid. It's not the cheapest Portuguese restaurant but quite a surprising find in such a small village. We can recommend the steak and the bacalhau.
We were very happy with our stay and will return there on our homeward journey. Thank you for the kindness and the welcome we received. "
"Friendly exceptionally clean hotel with wonderful menu for dinner. Good wine list at friendly prices.
The bed was a medical grade mattress which was a bit too firm for us.
All in all a wonderful place to stay not far from Portugal Spanish border.
Listing did not say that whilst it was off a listed road it was not now the main road so was quiet.Hotel refurbished a year or so ago and is popular with locals always a good sign
