“Womderful weekend stay. Great for couples and families”

“This property was a solid 3.5-4 out of 5. Great location in Havelock - walking distance to the pubs and local shops. Easy parking, on street and one in the driveway. Fireplace with loads of wood, comfortable beds and lots of extra blankets, nice big living room, dining table etc. Would be great for a family or group of friends. The downsides were that the towels are quite old and very small, and there is limited crockery and cutlery in the kitchen, and only 3 wine glasses, which seemed strange...

“A beautiful family beach holiday crib right by the seashore. Lawns for cricket in the evenings; mud flats to explore at low tide; a wee beach or two to wander along; log fire for chilly autumn mornings and those long holiday evenings sitting round playing board games and cards together. We couldn’t have dreamed of anything better than what we had the privilege of enjoying here thank you to the hosts who share their slice of paradise”

“Lovely family gathering for Christmas. Stayed for 8 nights. Relaxing and plenty for us to do. We brought our own boat and had a mooring provided. Our hosts were amazing, everything was thought of. They met us at the jetty and transported all our gear up to the bach and were available whenever we needed to get out to the boat. The beach where you land is beautiful and there is enough walking and views to keep you busy doing lots or a little. Just a warning they sell beautiful pāua pearl...

“Blue cod off jetty, shark and stingray cruising by. Amazing forest walks. Bathroom was not so clean and bbq so dirty it caught fire but we cleaned it and carried on. It was well worth it!!!”

“The place is remote and fabulous with a steep gravel driveway and set far above the road for noiseless nights of stargazing. It requires a little bit of off grid savvy but nothing even this 60 year old New Yorker couldn’t learn in seconds. The view is absolutely stunning, the house is quite comfortable. “We loved the outdoor space, location near the Queen Charlotte Track and the snooker table! It was our first time playing snooker. There is room to spread out, but the bedrooms were tight. Unfortunately, there were no outlets in the bathroom. Not a big thing, but something we noticed and were aware of. We appreciated that they were environmentally aware and made it easy for us to participate. We would return in a heartbeat!”
