This was my third year in a row staying at Manoir Morgan and, unfortunately, this stay was the least enjoyable. We have loved this hotel for many reasons, including the lovely staff, the facilities, the location, etc., so we were excited to come back again this year.
However, upon arriving, we discovered that the heater in our room was malfunctioning, and making loud/disruptive noises. Given that the heater was right next to the bed, and that the noises would start and stop every few minutes, we knew that it would be very hard to sleep. We contacted the front desk about this, and an employee came to the room. We eventually were informed that they weren't sure what was causing the abnormal noises and that there was nothing to be done since they couldn't call a repair person in until the next day. We were then told that we either had to deal with the noises if we wanted to keep the heater on, or that we could get rid of the noises by turning off the heater completely overnight (it was about -15 celsius outside that night). In the end, we had to turn the heater off, because we couldn't sleep with the noises. The next day, another employee asked us about our stay while we were checking out - when we mentioned the malfunctioning heater, they didn't react at all and simply ignored our remark completely.
Also, we noticed that the bed sheets were stained in several places.
Overall, we felt let down by our 2023 stay compared to our previous ones that had been really great.
