Relaxing Country Getaway

Welcome to the Barn in Lexington with a Hot Tub! We built this vacation rental so that people could come out and enjoy the peace and quiet of the country. Less than 45 minutes from downtown Louisville, but farther than that from the hustle and bustle of the city. The hot tub on the back porch overlooks a nice open area in the woods where you could see Deer, Turkey and all other sorts of wildlife. There is also a nice firepit area with 4 chairs to set and enjoy the fire. The barn is a studio type set up with a King bed out in the open area and a Queen bed with an electric fireplace in a separate bedroom. We would love for you come and enjoy our little piece of heaven in the country.

Everything was great. Only issue we had was that a mouse died in the AC vent and the place smelled a little. Everything was clean, and they provided everything to make the stay pleasant.

Secluded and relaxing!

The inside was spacious and clean, including the beds, kitchen area and bathroom. The hot tub was clean and worked perfect. No close neighbors around and hot tub was facing woods so it was very private. The only negative was there was no dish soap in the kitchen or hand soap in the bathroom.

Quiet little spot with all you really need to just relax and unplug for a bit. Super comfy beds, lovely porch swing, fire pit, and hot tub. Don't bother cooking even though there is a hot plate and picnic style grill. Grab some grub on the way in and get to the peaceful part of vacation.

Secluded Getaway

Amazing property!! I was very private and secluded, very clean, comfortable beds, loved the barn wood and decorations on the inside, had everything you needed! The hot tub and fire pit were a nice bonus while enjoying the surrounding nature. Was close to our travels to Madison. We would highly recommend this place, and will definitely be going back in the future!!

Relaxing, rustic, clean cozy place. Everything worked well and beds and shower were comfortable. I appreciate it all the hooks hanging around to hang up wet towels, and clothing. A lot of places don’t think about that.

Nice comfy place away from everything. Saw wildlife and a ton of stars! Wifi would have been nice. Owner tried to contact me first night, but no phone service for my network. They came by that night to give us the towels and bedding for the extra bed.

It was decent

Location and description were perfect. Vrbo was more to blame on the lack of communication bc there was zero. Fire pit and grill were there but no wood was provivded and being not from the area that sucked. The beds were horrible so stiff it might as well have been the floor and there was a sewage smell that was trying to be masked by the plug ins that made it worse. All around a decent little spot secluded and quiet.

Cozy and Secluded

We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again. It was very clean and comfortable. A few of the downsides to be aware of:The furnace ran constantly bc the cottage is not insulated so it had to constantly run to keep us warm. If you’re staying here during the winter months, I would suggest sleeping in the back bedroom, so you don’t have to hear it running.The kitchen did not have steak knives or a butcher knife and cutting board, so bring your own stuff if you're going to grill a steakThere is no WiFi so if you want to watch a movie there is only a DVD player. Pro Tip: The back bedroom has live TV but not the main TV. That's really all the downsides so overall, it's a wonderful place to relax and recharge. The Hot Tub was nice and clean, and the wooded view was perfect. Give it a try, we think you'll enjoy it.

Beautiful property

Such a beautiful, comfortable hideaway in the woods. The grounds weee perfectly groomed. We enjoyed our stay so much. We saw deer, turkey, rabbits & squirrels, birds and butterflies. It was relaxing to sit and watch. The hot tub was divine and we also much enjoyed the fire pit. The inside was comfortable and well laid out. The rustic decor went very well with the property. Only a couple of suggestions we would have. It would be nice if on the listing it said that there is a fire pit but that you need to bring your own wood. Secondly, the listing said that the bed in the main room is a king size bed. It did have a king frame but the mattress was a queen. Big props for the super comfortable bed, pillows and sheets!! We slept like a dream!

10/10 Private Nature Get Away

The photos of this property I feel like do not give it justice at all. This property is absolutely stunning!!!!!! The shower was super cozy and warm, the beds were very comfortable, and the all-around atmosphere was incredible. I came to this little getaway a girlfriend but left a fiancée! It was the perfect location For an intimate, beautiful proposal. There is a Keurig for convenience, and plenty of pillows and blankets around the cabin. The hot tub was the highlight of my stay. It is in The best spot possible on the property. You can lounge in the hot tub while watching the fire. One thing that I loved about this property is the house is actually facing away from the main road. So on the drive-in up the driveway, you actually have to pass the house before you can see the hot tub and the front door, which is very private and exactly what we were looking for. Town is also about a 20 minute drive, so very convenient for grocery stops or fast food. Definitely recommend flip daddy’s burgers! We absolutely loved this stay!! We will definitely be back again. Book it!
